Paid £304 for room only on a Saturday night. 4 star hotel which was anything but 4 star, when we saw our room. Room was basic and had seen better days. On the evening there was a wedding disco which we hadn't been informed about. When I brought this up we were told that the disco ended at midnight and there was nothing they could do. They offered us free breakfast but we needed to leave sharp so couldn't take that offer up. They said they were fully booked so couldn't move us rooms. Then at 11.40pm we got a call in our room to say they could move us. Odd they found another room. They moved us to a room that was 4 star, but sadly the noise from the disco wasn't any better. It did end at midnight thankfully. Then got woken up several times by other guests (I presume the wedding party) coming back to their rooms. On the morning we made a quick cuppa before we left, but there were no spoons to stir, so ended up leaving the cuppas. I did notice that both rooms only had 2 tissues in the tissue boxes. I would say this hotel is all fur coat and no knickers. Would not go back.

I am in hotels week in week out with my job, I was reluctant to book here because of the M62 close by, however... it didn't cause me a problem, no noticeable noise in my room. Room decor and furniture is quirky and pleasant and all very clean & comfy.|Over my 4 nights on a business trip I ate in the restaurant every night. Food was amazing. Usually after the second night I am struggling to pick, not here...! A big thank you to the kitchen staff.|Front of house and restaurant staff couldn't do enough to ensure customer satisfaction. Always there when you needed them and out of sight when you didn't. Very attentive but not overbearing, all very pleasant and helpful.|A big thank you to Ruby, Lola, Millie, Joanna, Louis, Joe, Justin, Luke, Maddie, Chantelle, Eyric, Andy P, and Kian B for making a boring business trip... erm... bearable.|I will definitely return when back in the area. I like a hotel with character driven by its staff.

Great service from the staff.
Excellent location with great pick up point for taxis.
Good drinks, clean toilets etc.
Hopefully next year's function is in the same place, would definitely book a room.

Room excellent nice large bed, lots of space. Bathroom well appointed. Service and staff friendly but had to point out 'Happy Hour' when ordering drinks. Location ideal for M62 travellers. Food adequate. Let down by car parking charges, £4.00, could be covered by room charges and save having to register car separately.

I recently stayed at the Cedar Court Hotel in Huddersfield, on a work trip as a solo traveller. I travel a great deal for work and have stayed at countless hotels all over Europe. My experience at this hotel was very pleasant indeed.||I was greeted by Lola. She approached me whilst I was checking in using one of the self check-in screens and she kindly suggested she could wait with me to ensure I didn’t have any issues, or check me in herself. I accepted her kind request and she checked me in and made sure I’d paid for my parking and had a booking in the restaurant for the evening. What stood out for me was her demeanour and willingness to help. She was bright and pleasant, and made a great first impression. Lola also checked me out the following day. Her approach to guests was a breath of fresh air and made me feel very welcome.||I'd also highlight Joanna. She was my server in the restaurant for both my evening meal and also at breakfast. She was incredibly attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. She came across as very kind and always had a smile to share. Joanna also helped me when I called down to reception in the evening to advise that I’d forgotten to pack a toothbrush. She called up to my room to let me know that they were locked away in the housekeeping office, but that she was back on shift first thing in the morning and would bring one to me – which she did. Again, with a lovely smile! ||The room I stayed in was really lovely - I upgraded to a suite for £20 and it was very nice indeed. A full sitting room with cocktail bar, a fabulous bedroom and a 4-piece suite in the bathroom (I thoroughly enjoyed a swim in the tub!).||This hotel has undergone a refurbishment and they have done a really lovely job. Very unassuming from the outside, but very nice inside with the most wonderful staff. I would recommend.

The hotel and service were what I expected for the price. It was clean and airy and the staff were very helpful. On my arrival, they changed my room due to my disability. All the disabled rooms had gone when I booked, so was pleased they made it as easy as they could for me. However, as a disabled person getting to the hotel from the carpark was either up a long flight of stairs or to walk further than any abled body person had to, to use the ramp. Neither of these was acceptable when you are a solo traveller with luggage, with mobility issues. If you are able bodied, it's a great choice, but if you have mobility issues, not great.

It was ideal for our one night stay. Bedroom was fine...just very warm. Bed very comfortable and shower excellent. As someone else noted...drinks terribly expensive.
Breakfast the next morning was an eye opener....and NOT a good one. I certainly don't expect that when I go for breakfast to find people wearing pyjamas, dressing gowns and men in bedroom shorts and vests. Absolutely dreadful. And having to pay £4.00 for parking Maybe not . Maybe a re - think on certain areas would be good.

This hotel is situated on a hill and it is not disabled friendly from the car park to the entrance unless you are in a wheelchair or mobility scooter. The disabled parking is next to a flight of steps. However, if you are not disabled, as most people aren't, it would be a great stay, with amazing views. The rooms were great. The service was as I expected from a hotel of that ilk. The M62 motorway is just around the corner.
