Very bad "hotel"!!! Everything is broken (beds, chauffage, windows, toilet ...), no service, bad breakfast (take everything yourself). Car you cannot park because owners are in front of the door. Definitely do not book here!!!

The room is a good size, very basic but clean. There is only a basin in the room, but there are shower-rooms and loos just down the corridor for communal use. Breakfast is self-service, with bread, milk, cereal & fruit in plentiful supply. There is a fridge & microwave available if you want to bring in your own food. The member of staff who checked us in/out was friendly. The hotel is quiet, as is the road upon which it is situated. It is a perfect place to use as a base for visiting London and as a place to sleep. A few DIY tweaks could go a long way to taking it up a notch, but otherwise it is good value for money.

Booked a room in advance, got there to he told the place was fully booked, was waiting around for nearly an hour well the staff were sorting it out for me which delayed my plans for that day. Finally sorted me out a smaller room, said when i got back later id have a bigger room, fair enough. A lady that was there ( cant remember her name) but was very polite and friendly. Bed was very comfy bedding nice and clean. But room looked dingy, outdaged. And unclean. Don't stay here if its with family, i was rather dissapointed for what i paid. Went to hand my keys back in the morning and there wasn't any staff in the building? Place could do with a makeover. Bigger TVs and a good clean.

I booked a single room at the Cedars House for a week because it was the closest B&B to Croydon Hospital I could find at a very decent price. When I arrived Flora greeted me and showed me my room, the toilet and the shower. I had booked a single but she put me in number 1, which is a spacious double room with a double bed and a single bed. As it is on the ground floor, I only used the toilet and the single shower on the first floor by reception.|My room was spacious, clean, plenty of pillows to choose from and with a sink. Breakfast is in the kitchen and Flora said I could use the microwave to cook meals in the evening, which really helped. Breakfast is fruit, cereals, coffee or tea, orange juice and toast, all self-service. I loved taking fruit with me to have as a morning snack! I hardly saw anybody else, and although I was in the ground floor by the entrance door, it was quiet and I slept very comfortably like a log. I would definitely go back there if I need to stay near Croydon or in London. You can walk in 10 min to Croydon high street, and in 20 min you can go to East Croydon station. It's off London road so there's plenty of buses around. It's only 5 min from Croydon Hospital. There's lots of restaurants from southern India that you will not find anywhere else in London. And Flora is really nice, she looked after me very well, she's a great host!|

Remember what you are paying when you stay here as it isn`t quite as bad as some have said previously. Appreciate the walls and surfaces could do with a good wipe over.||||This is an older property with furnishings to match, but bed and toilet were clean enough. Simple "Continental" Breakfast with small packets of Cereal, Toast, Fruit, left on the table down stairs in kitchen area and you boil the kettle to make your own drinks. This was absolutely fine for me and filled the gap early on a Sunday morning.||||It`s cheap and fine for a budget night away without Luxuries !

On the recommendation of a friend, (that may or may not have been a prank at my expense) I booked into the Cedar House Hotel. There were a couple of issues, the most concerning of which was that I got an email telling me that my card had been declined and my booking (under someone else's name) needed to be resubmitted. OK, so that was just a couple of phone calls and an email to sort out the mix up, but even still, not the most brilliant start.||||On arrival I was shown the communal shower and toilet. No en-suite. My room was on another floor, it was a massive disappointment. On returning home I checked the website, there is no mention of this other than a cryptic reference to a 'private wash basin' in the room. ||||Breakfast was styled as 'self-service'. I was so confused as to what that meant I had to ask the gentleman that checked me in to repeat himself. It wasn't until I went to the Guest Lounge that I realised what that meant. In fairness, it does mention this on their website, it is a fridge with loaves of bread and milk, a toaster, fruit and racks of small boxes of cereal. ||||The staff were pleasant enough, I can't fault them, but there was mold on the sealant by the private wash basin and the curtains were hanging off.Though there were two fresh towels available as the website states.||||Look, it was inexpensive, and it showed. Whilst it does what the site says, it reminded me of student accommodation the day before term starts. Clean, basic and with communal facilities. I won't be going back.

Not bad, nothing special.

Staff were helpful enough. Free breakfast included but perhaps slightly misleading as you wont get the usual Full English Breakfast, but a bit of toast, cereal and fruit. Maybe this is a London thing?

Room was alright, like a lot of other places it could do with a freshen up for the 21st century but it did the job. For the price its okay.

I checked in this hotel which I booked online for 5 days. I got there after getting lost many times to be welcomed by Flora who was on the phone for over 30mins. Infront of the reception was a pile of rubbish but I stood there patiently waiting for Flora to finish speaking on the phone. It seemed forever and she said bye many times to this person but the call never ended. Finally the signal interrupted and the call had to cut. With no verbal communication, she handed me a receipt and I saw they had only taken a night fee (Β£40) off my account so I told her I was staying for 5 days. I paid by card for the remaining 4 days which I paid Β£160 to Flora. She again asked me to follow her by sign and I did. I saw I was put in a room with a double bed and a single bed even when I booked for a single room. I found it insulting when she had to communicate to ne with a sign cos I heard her speaking on phone and I obviously greeted when I walked in so none of us was dumb. I walked out living my luggage in the room to look for another hotel to rest for the night. I came back in the morning to explain to Flora that I was no longer staying for the remaining nights and I would like to get a refund for the remaining nights. She was just being rude at the moment, kept shutting her counter, making it obvious she wasn't ready to hear me so I asked for a manager to explain to him/her n she rudely told me there was no manager. I was shocked how Flora was dealing with me because I wasn't rude even. I only asked for a refund cos I has paid to her by card. She finally told me to give her up to 7 working days and I wil receive my money back. I checked out with her and she was rude the whole time but I was much concerned with getting back my money and up to now, she doesn't reply to my emails and I have no received any refund or any call.
