If you can get past the price of school holidays and also the price of the beer then this place is amazing. No matter what though, I genuinely don't think the staff arent given the appreciation they deserve. They truly are amazing here. They make the holiday what it is. Whether it's the waiting on or bar staff or the maintenance staff then they truly know how to make you feel welcome and appreciated. It really is a great place that's made fantastic by it's staff

Here now and it’s been a fantastic stay, my daughter is 2.5 and there’s plenty for her to do, she loved seeing the squirrels at the back door.
Swimming is great as it’s free and you can just go when you like.
The only thing is there wasn’t a spatula for eggs and the frying pans are not great and veryhtign stuck to them.
The door locks from the inside however all you have to do is pull the handle as normal and the door unlocks and opens, there is a chain but still worried my daughter could get through

Great place, staff are sooo helpful, can't do enough. Chalets have pretty much all you need. Market place on-site is reasonably not too expensive. All activities are pricey. Pool area is great.

Great place for a holiday with the family, plenty to do for all ages and well managed. The Parc itself is very well looked after and the house we were in was clean and comfortable. A wee bit pricey but would definitely recommend.

First visit in over 12 years and it is now very tired. The lodge was worn and the cleaning left a lot to be desired. Excepted at least vacuuming and the baths wiped around. There was a black scum line in the jacuzzi bath and food all splashed up the kitchen cupboards the stairs were covered in white fluff. The swimming pool area was really neglected particularly the outside pool. It’s mega expensive when you get there ( small ketchup £4 ) the lodges don’t have ANY basic condiments or foil ect so it’s difficult to feed the family when you presumed there would be basic salt, pepper and maybe oils. The leave you 1 tea towel 3 dishwasher tabs 2 bin bags and a sachet of washing up liquid. Impossible to manage when there are 8 adults sharing. The kitchen equipment was minimal1 large scoop for dishing up.
All that said if you’re super organised take all your own food and just have a relaxing family weekend you can have great fun in a safe environment for a reasonable amount of money. Maybe if you’re going to do that then a nice house by the beach would be a better value break. Don’t think we will return.

A fantastic pre-Christmas stay at Whinfell. Wide range of activities and staff were exceptional across all areas. Winter Wonderland and decorations/light installations throughout made it magical for adults and children alike. Lodge well-appointed and beds very comfortable. Pantomime was a high-quality production which we thoroughly enjoyed! We all had a wonderful stay and will definitely be returning. Thank you!

Hi. I haven't even got to Whinfell yet but I had a problem ,my wife fell down a few stairs at home a few days ago, this would have had a massive impact on our family holiday next week but the young lady at the phone desk was unbelievably helpful and kind. First family visit since 2018, (oldest this year was 88, youngest 6 months) and we were not disappointed - the site was decorated for Christmas and looked amazing. Lots of Christmas themed activities, but these were mainly for children, it would be good to have more aimed at adults too, like the wreath making, which was very enjoyable. As we had a 6 month old with us, we were allowed in to see Santa and get photos taken, which was a real highlight. We did all the other usual stuff, swimming, spa, badminton, archery etc, plenty of food outlets, but very expensive (avoid the cocktails they come out of cartons - horrible.) Lodges were very nice, we had an accessible one and an executive. Both clean and spacious and very cozy (weather was very cold). Staff pleasant and helpful and we are already planning another trip. We have been coming to Whinfell since it opened (so many happy memories) and have seen lots changes, all for the better. This year was amazing. Thanks. See you next year!!
