Having read varying reviews about this place we were a little dubious but aside from the room being rather warm and not being able to run the shower as cool as I personally prefer, as the temperature dial was very stiff, we had an extremely comfortable stay. The room was spacious with fridge, microwave, cutlery, glasses and plates should we have needed them. We had requested a double bed as opposed to twin, which resulted in a super king size and thumbs up all round. The mattress was firm but very comfortable (for us anyway) and the room super insulated so absolutely no noise from outside.
Lots of counter space and proper wooden hangers in the room and the walk in shower was spacious, with a handy shelf for toiletries -all in all a very thoughtfully kitted out room which made our stay all the more enjoyable.

Just arrived back from this hotel from a weekend with a group of 18, I saw a lot of negative reviews before we arrived, but this is my review of our experience.||On arrival, we had a smooth and quick process...for the 9 rooms. Very friendly staff... just remember when you book you have to put a deposit on the room, around £100 for the weekend we paid per room.||The room was really nice and clean. A fridge and microwave in the room plus a good TV on the wall if you wanted to stay in watching it..|One thing to mention are the beds. They are really comfortable but really low down, so if you are tall, it's a bit of a struggle to get up off them.|The bathroom was nice and spacious, and the shower was great with plenty of pressure and hot water..||The hotel is really close to the |Regal (wetherspoons) just through the shopping centre. And a couple of minutes walk to the main streets.||

The reception person was very professional and assisted with the checking in and other information . The room we booked had everything we need it for our stay . Spacious , clean , good vibe . Big windows , roof top views , beds were comfy and bathroom and shower were spotless . Thank you Central hotel .

We stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room, bedding, towels and bathroom were spotless. Shower was relatively modern with good water pressure and very warm temperature. Tea and coffee in room was welcome and you could request more if needed. ||We stayed on the top floor and so had a very good night sleep - we heard some noise from nearby rooms but then perhaps to be expected in this type of hotel given the age of the building. ||We found the bed to be very comfortable. We didn’t use the tv but it was a good size.||Staff at reception were friendly. Do remember to bring along ID as you cannot check in without it. ||Would happily return.

£250 deposit on top of the room fee we had already paid fo the stay . |The company says security deposit is on all bookings but looking at three separate web sites it does not clearly show this extra cost , it’s still not returned to us weeks after staying. This company has misled us about providing the refund as no credit has been made to our account. A disaster of a hotel this just about the peak of the worst break we ever had. The hotel is very badly managed and poorly maintained .|Noisey at night and not safe for a woman on her own .lights not working in dark corridors Drunken people were in and out the building until the early hours .

Bed was very uncomfortable & impossible to sleep in, floor was dirty & sticky. All surfaces were tacky & sticky. Hairdryer was filthy with unknown things stuck in it. Even with windows closed, street noise was terrible.||Could not stay another night so have booked elsewhere at extra expense.

Bad nights sleep…. Bed wasn’t the comfiest . Noise until 3 am from other guests kept me awake . Including doors being slammed shut .|talking of noise the street outside was busy with buses coming & going as well as cars . |Not recommended if you need a good sleep
