Every member of staff we came across was really friendly. A personal mention for Kim who was lovely to us as we were leaving.|The breakfast on arrival was perfect for us, fresh fruit, croissants and a delicious smoothie. Lunch was a buffet. There was a lot of choice and all was delicious.|Although the weather wasn't perfect, we enjoyed 2 amazing walks around the grounds and in the surrounding area. We had a wet game of badminton, in the rain!|In the afternoon we enjoyed the very energetic instructor putting us through our paces in the aqua class. |We loved the pool. The building is beautiful and has been well-maintained. Everywhere felt warm. We liked the hideaway area where we could rest with a warm blanket. |Overall, a wonderful day!|Thank you, Champneys. We will be back!|

We arrived to the beautiful country house and received a warm greeting from staff member Mel, and instantly felt relaxed and ready for a spa day treat. ||The Signature massage was one of the best I have ever had. ||The facilities are clean and of high quality, and included a delicious buffet lunch with plenty of options.||We had a coffee in the lounge before departure which was the perfect environment to finish off the day. ||Things to improve: some of the lockers were temperamental and there are no bags to take away wet swimming things.

Nearly 34 years of going to Henlow and it never disappoints. This is mainly down to the marvellous staff who make you feel like part of the Henlow family. Particularly Rosina who is simply fabulous and goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. Also Jane and Thomas in the shop who are so engaging and helpful. This stay I had a superb facial with Tatjana and then there is Lina. Difficult to put into words how special this lady is. A fabulous therapist and a beautiful soul. Please Henlow keep the family feel and don’t go too corporate.

Oh Champneys… We booked for a relaxing day spa and apart from the actual treatment it was far from it. The facilities are outdated, and there are too many people. This is more of a members club than a luxury spa, The pool had a class going on upon arrival and there were no seats / loungers available. Apart from the indoor jacuzzi, there is a real lack of places to relax. The sauna is a broom cupboard and the steam room is unavailable to couples, only in the changing rooms. The relaxation rooms are cold and pretty miserable, lack any ambiance and located in a busy thoroughfare which is far from relaxing (oh and the fire alarm going off just about put an end to any relaxation!) Staff were pleasant and the treatment really good. The food was a cheap resort buffet and it all felt rather dated and budget. As a local resident who can use this as a members club I imagine it is ideal. To market this as a luxury spa retreat is pushing it somewhat.

Fantastic spa break- wasn't overcrowded as other reviews suggested.
Easy to find space in the sauna, steam room, pool and hydrotherapy.
Felt like special guests from start to finish, all the staff were super helpful and welcoming.
Lots of choice for food, restaurant was a lovely place to relax.
Treatment was pricey but one of the best I've ever had and the therapist was a true expert.
Overall a wonderful stay

We visited Champneys for our anniversary, hoping for a relaxing day together, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations. While the staff were wonderful, the facilities were surprisingly limited—a large pool and a single hot/cold jet stream. The saunas and steam rooms are separated by gender, so we actually spent more time apart than together. There’s only one small mixed sauna, and it was always too full to use. As for the food, it’s very health-focused but seemed to sacrifice flavour for nutrition, which was disappointing. We didn’t try the spa treatments—they might be worth it—but if you’re looking to enjoy quality time with your partner and decent food, you may want to look elsewhere.

Booked an overnight spa break and I would not recommend here. Arrived and they couldn’t book us in for dinner so had to change treatment times etc which messed up our weekend. Restaurant dinner was not very good. Food trying to be fine dining but just not very good. Food was pretty cold and had to wait ages for drinks. Quite a few people sending food back. Overall look of the place is pretty shabby. Steam rooms out of order and shower doors get swinging open when trying to wash. Limited spacing to sit down round the pool and jacuzzis were actually quite cold.
Also got charged a random gratuity charge that came off our card after we left!

Pool was nice and big and treatment was nice, also really nice grounds but wouldn’t recommend as poor value for money.

An excellent spa break at this lovely friendly resort as always. The food was amazing and had lots of choices. Tegan on reception check in and Andrew on check out were so friendly and helpful and Abi gave the best treatment I’ve experienced. I have already booked to go back in April
