This is a good place for friends' weekend lunch. The lamb shank and lamb chops are very delicious. I like the interior design of this restaurant. The restaurant owner passionately asked if we needed anything. Overall 5 star.

We visited on the 6th October for my Step Mum’s birthday and for our first visit we were blown away! The customer care was exceptional, we had two young children with us and the staff we so engaging and attentive with them. The food was incredible, so fresh and absolutely delicious! The restaurant itself was clean and beautifully decorated! It was a really special dinner and we will absolutely be back! Thank you to you all!

The first time I came here with my girlfriend to celebrate our 6 month anniversary. That was over 2 years ago and the service is still excellent. The staff is friendly, kind and attentive, the food is beautifully presented and delicious.

The prices are on the higher side, but it’s worth every penny, we will definitely be coming back!

Very average food. Managed to finish my main due to waiting so long for it.
The younger staff members were however very polite and friendly. Management wasn’t very attentive, asked him to bring a cake/dessert out for my sisters’ birthday, which I would have been (as expected) very happy to pay for. He said he’ll sort something but never did. Sisters’ steak was stringy and bland. She left most of it, nothing was done about this. An apology would have been enough. They didn’t even ask us once if our food was okay throughout the meal? Just terrible, won’t be back.

I really enjoyed everything about this place, the waiters were exceptional in their friendliness and service, they offered extra veg for my baby, a high chair and were always talking to him whenever passing by. The food was extremely tasty and I cannot fault them at all. I can't wait to go again and take more friends and family to experience it!

We visited a couple of times in the past years. And both occasions we couldn’t fault this restaurant.
To give Chanak their due the food is still good. More pricey to what it was previously, I would say almost on the verge of central London prices now. Perhaps this change since Covid and perhaps for their extension of the restaurant.
There were some new faces serving us which we didn’t see before. And unfortunately this really let down the service. They were not rude but clearly shows one young waiter didn’t want to engage much.
There was a mature gentleman and lady which were better I think part of the owners. But overall the service was not as good as before. It seems that more attention was given to regular local customers, and when we left some of the staff were near the main exit door not one said thank you hope to see you again, nothing.
It doesn’t take much for being a bit more attentive to everyone rather to a select few. We recently returned from the Mediterranean and everyone was so pleased happy and willing to serve. Which made us return to some of the same restaurants again.
This is what really let this down considering we paid over £100.
Also as Chanak from what I gather is an independent restaurant when my daughter wanted to ask for less than what was on the desert menu we were told they can only give what’s stated on the menu. Many other local restaurants in the area have always been accommodated and taken less of a charge for this situation. That’s a real shame especially if they are a family run restaurant they could not accommodate this considering we were happy to pay overall bill.

Perhaps the break they take from 5th to 21st August might help some re generate their customer service. Unfortunately we will give some thoughts about returning now in the future.

First came here just before the pandemic with my partner, food and service were great then and the service is still great.

Staff are very attentive and lovely ,food was delicious and worth every penny.

Will be coming back again.
