The food was good the staff were really friendly. When we came here it was just starting to get busy as we got seated. When the waiter took our order's he laughed when I ordered the chicken tikka madras and warned me it was really spicy. When the food arrived I tried the madras and my honest opinion I've had spicier chow meins and curries than this. The food was cooked good but not what I expected.

Lovely restaurant with a view to the train station - family run so great vibes and service, food portions are massive - we had the kofta and charcoal chicken shish flavoured well. Chocolate fudge cake with an enormous portion size (fed three of us)! Less than 45 pound for 2 adults and 2 kids - great value

We went for lunch around 2 pm. Felt Aviemore doesn't have many lunch places, most of them are closed. It's hard to find vegetarian options in Pub. Anyway, this definitely is a hidden gem- good options for starters and mains. Portion size is big , but they are expensive too, probably the supply is from big town far away so all costs add up.

We popped in to Charcoal on a spur of the moment for our evening meal staying locally at the Glenmore campsite. The service was extremely friendly and the food delicious we both opted for the kofte. The railway decor was quirky and much appreciated.

Halal meal . Yummy food . 5 mins walking distance from McDonald Aviemore resorts and other hotels and resorts are also near by . Reservation is required very busy busy place . They have kids menu . First we went for our lunch and in the same day my husband went and get take away meal for our dinner . My husband said one of the best lamb chops. My son was happy too . I had ordered Chicken casarol but they didn’t make it the way it supposed to be . But English people will like it as curry and rice
