It was very basic but generously offers 24/7 tea and coffee and free WiFi if you are not particularly fussy and just want somewhere to sleep and shower it is good for me it was very good for my needs. Rooms were clean and sheets and bathroom were also clean. I had a very pleasant stay.

My friend and I had a family room and it was very clean and tidy, Continental breakfast. Owners very helpful and friendly and courteous. It's about 500 yards from BJ's bingo and less than 3 mins to a one stop shop. Unfortunately on this occasion I don't have any photos, but enjoyed staying there again in March and will put pictures up as this was a last minute booking. Looking forward to staying there again.

Many Thanks

Jackie and Pam.

For the price it's a great place for an overnight stop.

Using it as a stopover before driving back home.

Host extremely friendly and helpful on arrival.

Accommodation is basic but has what you need.

We had a twin room. Had it's own toilet and shower room.

Very easy to find. Lidl supermarket close by if you need anything.

At £44 for the night including breakfast you'd find it hard to criticise to be honest.

Guest house has a strategic positioning, as guest can access Lidl, buses to the city and Airport as it's close to the airport and you can also get buses gojngbtowatds the airport as well. Guest house comes with simple make your own breakfast when booking. The price is very reasonable.

Provision of microwave, egg boiler, fridge, toaster and an Hanshu water dispenser, although good for drinking but not hot enough for a xup of tea if you reall like a hit cuppa, just put it in the microwave.

Breakfast is simple. And you can have it before noon time when the trolley is taken to clean all the dirty mugs , plates etc. Milk, cereal, bread and eggs are all provided and the guest house also cares about guest allergies. I used plant based spread, lactose free milk while there.

It has a good wifi as well, so if you're working online from your room, then okay. There are TVs in the rooms woth remote, only local stations.

Shower water is hotter in the night and very early in the morning. It was a bit cold later in the day.

Suggestions, find a cleaner to clean the inside of the windows in the rooms, as they have black moulds behind the net curtains.

Guests need to be able to open a clean window to let some fresh air indoors. Years of sweat on the windows and no cleaning will cause it to go black. Health and Safety of your guests should be considered.

Thank you very much, I rested and slept peacefully like a baby.

Please, check that the table covers are cleaned well , especally all the sides wiped down properly by the guests & cleaner.

Rooms are dated with woodchip wallpaper which haven't seen a lick of paint in many years. The bed sheets had an unidentifed stain and the matress was pretty much just springs. There was a strange musty smell and there were mousetraps by the headboard.
The shower flow was a trickle at best and the hot tap was a wall mounted boiler, as we popular in public toilets.
The landing /hallway were heavily soiled and the woodwork desperatley needs painting.
The proprieter was polite and helpful when i arrived late at night and took the time to explain how the front door key fob works.
The guest house is in the middle of a housing estate and leaving for work in the morning the roads were conjested and cars parked illegally as parents were taking kids to school and walking out from behind parked cars.

What an utter disgrace. Terrible service; rude & dismissive. Rooms not cleaned in god knows how long. Booked 2 nights and ended up driving the 2.5 hours home instead on both nights instead of suffering this place any longer than needed

I sent a message to the location when I booked letting them know I'd prefer a downstairs room because I was bringing my wheelchair. I let them know I can walk a bit so a step here or there was fine but generally I needed something accessible. They said that was no problem and accepted the booking.

When I arrived, the staff person let me know that the only downstairs rooms they had had a shared bathroom down the hall rather than an ensuite. Also, someone was already in those rooms, but if I wanted, they could make those people move to the room I booked, which was apparently upstairs.

Being trans and disabled, I don't like to share bathrooms, and I really wasn't thrilled with the prospect of rousting whoever was in the downstairs room and forcing them to move to the room I booked. Also, the room I booked was more expensive, I guess because it had its own ensuite bathroom+shower, and there was no mention of a refund for the difference.

So I dragged myself and my chair up the narrow staircase with a 90 degree landing in the middle and got settled in. The room itself was about 7ft x 10ft which is NOT how it looked in the photos, the bathroom door had no lock on it, which I guess isn't a huge deal for a room meant for one person, but felt weird. The wallpaper where the bed was was gross, and with my chair in the room there wasn't room for much else. No mini fridge or microwave in the room but that's fine, whatever.

The bathroom was moldy, had a step up into the VERY small shower, and the whole thing was only about 2ft wide by 5 ft long. The wallpaper was peeling, the toilet was loose where it met the ground, and the fan was also gross. The platform the shower sat on was moldy as well. I ended up not showering while I was there.

The TV was not actually a TV, but just a radio? Which was weird. The bed was comfy enough.

Tbh I would stay there again if I was a solo traveler who just needed a bed to sleep in for the night. It was cheap (£40 per night plus fees so £90 for my two nights).

AFTER I checked out I found out there was a ground floor family suite with it's own bathroom and entrance, but of course I wasn't offered that, which was a higher price than my room and also already booked, just the single room with a shared bathroom that was cheaper with no refund for the difference and already booked as well. The shared bathroom was also tiny and inaccessible, and the door didn't open all the way, so it would have been difficult for me to use. The shared bathroom rooms each had their own shower, I assume similar to the one in my room.

It was a cute BnB. It could use a good clean and some new wallpaper but tbh it was safe, quiet, and cute. It had a breakfast nook area with several tables and you could grab some cereal or toast or whatnot any time. There was a downstairs lounge with a couch and a tv.

But bottom line, if someone books your hotel, and sends you a notice they need it to be accessible, and you know damn well it isn't accessible in ANY stretch of the imagination, just say so and cancel the booking and refund me! I'm lucky enough to be an ambulatory wheelchair user so I was able to manage and drag my chair up and down the stairs, but if I had higher accessibility needs, I wouldn't have even been able to get in the building, let alone use the toilet/shower or make it up a flight of stairs.

It's just unacceptable to accept a booking when you know you cannot accommodate the person. It's fine that you can't (although not really, ramps exist and the front walk is easy to make accesible) but then just say so so I can book somewhere else! Like why? Just why? Honestly shame on y'all.

A very convenient and economical place to stay if you are visiting the NEC. Very convenient and parking is good. There are a number of good restaurants near by. A very easy going hotel. Breakfast is very adhoc. The rooms and facilities are satisfactory for the price paid.
