We had a first class lunch here today. My husband has the big breakfast which was absolutely perfect. Every element was delicious, good quality and it really was very big!! I had a jacket potato with prawns, which was so fresh and again perfectly cooked. Such an enjoyable lunch. The staff were really friendly and engaging. It’s nicely tucked away from all the busy part of Holt. A great find.

Excellent little café tucked away in Appleyard. Hot coffee and panini on a chilly October day really hit the spot. And the chunky chips were just fantastic!!

Had a brilliant time at Charlie's. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating, lovely decor, and the food is always fresh and exceptional. The Bailey's Orange Truffle cheesecakes were the best cheesecakes I've ever had and are definitely a must try! The cafe has a selection of food that will appeal to people with all dietary requirements (veggie, vegan and gluten free) as well!

I would 100% recommend this cafe.

Had a really nice breakfast here along with a coffee. The outside seating area is pleasant in nice weather and the staff are exceptionally friendly. Would definitely recommend if you're in the Holt area as it's a treat. It is a little bit tucked away off the main high street area but it's not too hard to find. The only thing I wasn't too struck on were the vegatarin sausages provided in the veggie breakfast but that's a personal preference thing more than it is a fault. Also, they're taking part in the eat out to help out scheme so Monday-Wednesday it comes at 50% off which is a bonus.

Went here on a very cold day. It is as at Jan 19 under new ownership, we've visited under earlier incarnations but it is essentially the same layout. Plus side, the food and drinks were very good, especially the special i had. Staff friendly and efficient although irritating to be forced to order at point near the door. It is dog friendly and plenty of seating upstairs and down, relaxed atmosphere, fine to read the paper for example. Loses a star because the heating isn't good enough for a cold day, some tables are cramped, toilets not the best and generally needing a bit of investment/spruce up.

After spending all day on our feet, we were hungry! We had been searching for some time for a place to eat and we came across Charlie's.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The prices (given the portion sizes) were very reasonable as well.

£7.50 gets you a generous helping of fine quality Norfolk Ham, 2 free range fried eggs a lavish portion of thick chunky chips and colourful salad! It was all Delicious!

We had a lovely late lunch sat outside in the sun (one of the staff kindly opened the parasol) with our bellys suitable restocked.

Thank you for a wonderful meal. 😊

We came for Sunday lunch £12.00 for two courses . I hate to say that it really was a awful lunch , served cold and no roast potatoes .
The pudding was great so maybe they should stick to being a coffee shop .
Saying that we all found the staff ( family ) charming and were trying to be very helpful , they were certainly the best part of the meal .
I really wish them well but maybe give up the Sunday lunches .
I wish them all the best x

Lovely waitress and FOH staff. Chef/owner was really rude and purposely burnt my sisters bacon in her BLT when she sent it back as it was undercooked. Shame because we came here last year and it was really good!
