To start off, the room we were given was lovely. We stayed in a twin room downstairs, which was decorated really nicely- perfect for two girls!! It backed on to an outside garden area with a picnic bench which was a great idea. The staff were all so friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us for anything we needed. The breakfast was amazing; a great selection of food prepared and served by the lovely Chelsea, who was super friendly, telling us about everything we should do in Plymouth and generally doing anything she could to make us feel welcome. Ashley was really attentive, although not always present was able to deal with any queries or concerns and reachable by phone. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a B and B in Plymouth- a lovely place with fab, friendly staff, and only a short walk away from the sea and the city! 10/10, thank you very much!

Enjoyed being in a very quiet downstairs room; telly bigger than most B&Bs which makes a difference for watching Strictly! Very clean if basic accommodation. Radiator in bathroom was on which was nice for having a shower. Staff helpful - looked after a bag for me the next day and made bacon to go as I was leaving early!

Had a terrific time here at the Chester b&b. Chelsea and other staff members gave 100%, and always had a smile! The rooms were clean and tidy and was surprised at how much coffee and tea I could drink!! The breakfast is brill, with lots to nibble on before a big full English. Nice place in need of decorating. Friendly welcome. Private bathroom very small and as step up into it not good for disabled people.ideal for a night or too not far from town centre. Breakfast very good have a wide range to choose from. Plenty of towels room cleaned daily with plenty of tea coffee milk and sugar

Was a very pleasant stay in Plymouth. Didn't get a chance to look at all the sights but I can say for sure that Chesterhouse is top notch and a wonderful place to stay at. Breakfast was always on time and cooked superbly, other people staying were friendly and the manager was very helpful in every way, even let me do some laundry! Would recommend a stay if you plan on venturing down to plymouth. 10/10

Best b&b I've been to. SUCH a warm welcome for late, travel-weary guests, nice breakfast daily, Andy Dot & Hazel are so friendly and fun, you're really made welcome. And they go out of their way to help you out - simply great people. Convenient from the station, and a great price: don't think twice!

The property is very dated and not clean, it is more of a bed sit than a B&B it seemed like a place for local women stay to escape there bad relationships. They need to decide if they are a B&B, a refuge or bed sit, I would never return. The breakfast was also a let down, although the staff were pleasant the breakfast consisted of 1 rasher of bacon, 1 sausage, 1 egg, tomatoe, beans and few mushrooms, no hash browns (apparently the oven was broken) breakfast is served in a small room, with kids getting ready to go off to school, other guests talking about there dreadful relationships and how they are never going back to them and the other kids kicking the back of my chair! I was glad to get out of there. I would have rather slept in my car, I didn't return the second day and certainly wasn't going to sit through another breakfast experience. I wish I had of taken photos of the place now, it's hard to believe they call this a B&B. Totally disgusted, and £152 for two nights is shocking, in fact I'm not even sure what the going rate should be for this place, they would have to pay me to stay there again.
