We found the food nice and reasonably priced.

All the staff were friendly. It was an open and welcoming cafe, a great place to go!

The cafe also offers help to people in need of food who cannot afford it. This cafe is an amazing place.

The coffee that we ordered however was strongly bitter. To us, as a customers, it needs looking at and correcting. (We know the Chill Cafe is a community cafe. We would be prepared to help them improve their coffee as a gesture, if they asked us...)

Our waitress was the most sweet and lovely waitress you could hope for. One of the best in York!

Friendly staff who go out of their way to help people.
A lively place with a nice atmosphere to sit and natter to other customers or with friends.
Well behaved dogs can visit making the cafe even more welcoming. I met a miniature poodle here who is adorable and very popular with the customers.
There's a regular supply of fresh food donated from supermarkets for people take away for a small donation.
The tea is good and they also do a scrumptious chocolate brownie 😉

Great, local charity cafe. Whilst the menu doesn't contain a massive choice, what it does have is inexpensive and very good, tasty food.
Despite the cafe being busy when we turned up (1pm on a Friday), the food arrived relatively quickly, which I was surprised at.
Would definitely recommend a visit as decent food, as well as helping to support a local charity

Good cheap food, had a yummy baked potato for lunch. The atmosphere has a community feel to it with many different folks in enjoying a coffee or something to eat. Also applaud this group for the services they do for the community.

More than a cafe but a community hub. Great for a drink or food with young kids & groups. Delicious paninis. Really great prices. Often other things like art classes, toddler groups. Just started doing arty kids party.
