Very disappointed with our food tonight, first time ordering and spent £80. What a waste of money! Half a duck which was all crisp and no duck. Pork dish which had no flavour, BBQ ribs which tasted like they were in gravy with a bit of sugar and the Singapore rice was very dry.
Such a shame, ruined our evening and will not be returning.

Located in Bishop's Lydiard, a very good takeaway food, open 6 days a week between 5pm and 10 pm..open also on bank holidays ?
You can place your order over the phone and go pick it up so you don't have to wait over there,they don't do any deliveries. Good food, good service.
Definitely recommended...enjoy it

We have been coming here for a few years now. Started off lovely but lately hasn’t been so great. Incorrect orders received and all a bit bland.
The hike in the price rise was rather a shock too.

We live locally and been going here for a while but recently the food has been poor. Has no taste or so salty you can't eat it, also very expensive for a Chinese they are charging top prices. Food today was awful, tastes like it's been re heated with no taste.
Will not be coming back.

We absolutely love China Cottage in Bishop's Lydeard. We phone and order on a Friday night and drive from the next village. It is always ready within about twenty mins. Sometimes much faster! The food is always lovely. We aren't experimental so usually get the same thing. The dishes are consistent in flavour and taste. We always get free prawn crackers too which is a bonus of course!!!

I ordered food from here, the chicken balls had metal in and broke my tooth. Upon returning food in store they offered to pay my dental bills.
I asked for them to confirm in writing that they will cover my dental bills and are now refusing, after making out they had already done so.
They also refused to return my broken tooth fragment I presented to them to evidence part of the dental injury sustained.
Over a month later and I am still stuck with a broken tooth, as I am unable to trust that when presented with a costly dental bill they will indeed pay.
Unfortunately I have had no option to contact Trading Standards regarding this matter.
Do not recommend ordering from this establishment.
