maybe london IS a 24 hour city… open til 4am. what more can you ask for?
service is so quick. food arrived really fresh and the portions are so generous.
can healthily feed yourself on a budget if £20-30.
such a great spot to go in a group too. the vegetable spring rolls are great and come with a nice sweet chilli sauce. they came piping hot too. would definitely get these again.
got the vegetable chow mein and sweet and sour chicken as a main and this fed two people very very well. almost too much food.
also got a portion of prawn dim sum, but these didn’t have the best flavour and were quiet plain so would not recommend.

love walking thru the casino to get to here. gna come back here for all my late night meals now.

Chop Chop at the Hippodrome Casino offers a fantastic Chinese dining experience in a vibrant yet relaxed setting. The decor strikes a perfect balance between lively and comfortable, making it an ideal spot to unwind, whether you're visiting the casino or just in the area.

The food was a real highlight. The chow mien were incredibly smokey and delicious, full of that rich, authentic "wok hei" flavor that really sets great Chinese cuisine apart. I also tried the salt and pepper tofu, which was absolutely delicious — perfectly crispy on the outside while soft and flavorful on the inside.

To drink, I ordered the Dragon’s Gate mocktail, and it was amazing. Refreshing, well-balanced, and beautifully presented, it paired wonderfully with the meal.

Service was impressively fast without feeling rushed. Despite the restaurant being busy, the staff remained friendly and efficient, ensuring everything arrived hot and fresh in no time.

Overall, Chop Chop delivers a brilliant combination of great food, excellent drinks, stylish decor, and speedy service. It's a fantastic choice if you're looking for quality Chinese food in the heart of London.

Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

We were huge fans of the "Y Ming" restaurant & friendly with William who was its manager. When it sadly closed, we heard that William was now the manager of "Chop Chop" & so we wanted to visit here to see him.
Sadly, when we finally booked a table, it was his night off.
This restaurant is on the ground floor of the famous "Hippodrome" in Leicester Square. When you first go in the building, past some very stern bouncers at the entrance, you are immediately plummeted into the scary world of gambling. You walk through the casino & slot-machine riddled floor to the lifts. Some punters are in there though to watch "Magic Mike Live" on another floor.
When we finally got to the ground floor, we were shown to our table in one of the neon light backdrop booths.
We were given menus & served drinks fairly quickly but then it took ages for the waitress to return for our food order.
I must admit that we were a little disappointed with the dishes on offer. Around 80% of which were typical dishes served by your ordinary Chinese take-away. We wanted to try something different as we'd read great reviews about the food.
Once we'd finally ordered, the food came quickly. Highlights for us were the Char Sui BBQ Chicken Buns & Salt & Pepper Crispy Prawn starters.
Whilst eating, it became obvious that a high percentage of our fellow diners had been given restaurant vouchers by the in-house casinos. These gave them a choice of set menu dishes to eat before they went back upstairs to continue gambling.
The lads opposite us were regaling each other with their biggest ever wins / losses & were obviously compulsive gamblers.
Overall the atmosphere in both the restaurant & whole building was rather intimidating due to the huge gambling connections.
If do you book a table, they only guarantee to hold your reservation for 10 minutes so do arrive promptly. There were many people who arrived without reservations & they were all turned away.
We visited at 9.30pm but this restaurant actually serves food until 4am.
I'd been looking forward to seeing "Chopi" their little robot who helps the staff to clear dishes from tables. The staff manually load dishes into him & then he speeds away. We even heard Chopi sing happy birthday to someone which was a sight to see.
Sad to say that the food didn't impress us sufficiently to want to return as it didn't over-ride the oppresive aura of gambling which permeates throughout the whole building.

Not entirely convinced — felt a bit overhyped in my opinion.

A big shout-out to William, who handled a few issues with our meal really well. As a manager, he demonstrated great customer service and took the time to listen.

I ordered the two-meat combination, but the portions were quite small. The vegetable noodles were bland and lacked flavor.

On a positive note, the spring rolls were large, tasty, and filling — I probably didn’t need the noodles at all. The cocktail was also very nice.

Overall, I wouldn’t rush back, but might consider stopping by again if I happened to be in the area.

Hidden gem!

An excellent restaurant right in the heart of Leicester square , but really hidden inside the hippodrome casino . When you enter the hippodrome, head to the left and down the stairs .

Note that as this is inside a casino only adults of age can come.

The service was excellent with the staff getting a seat for us quickly. Drinks were prompt to arrive as the kitchen is also extremely fast . I think only a few minutes had past after we ordered and the food had arrived.

It looked and smelled good, but it tasted even better. The duck was moist, crispy and bd the crispy pork belly has been one of the best I’ve had to date. Very tender pork with a very crispy skin.

There was lots of wok hei in the noodle dish and was equally as delicious. Highly recommended and would go back again.

Chop Chop is a hidden gem within the casino and, in my opinion, serves even better food than the other Four Seasons restaurants in Chinatown. The quality is outstanding—fresh, well-prepared, and packed with rich flavours. A must-visit for those who appreciate top-tier dining in a more exclusive setting!

My recommendation food to order
❤️Roast duck
❤️Stir fried morning glory
❤️sweet sour pork

We recently made an impromptu visit to the Hippodrome casino in Leicester Square - we had heard great things about the restaurants there - the hype was correct the Chop Chop ( four seasons ) restaurant was superb ! Highly recommend the squid and duck but I’m certain all the food is of similar very high standard. Most noticeable of all were the highly attentive staff Bruno and Hung were fantastic as was Tas in the cocktail bar where I had - hands down - the best non alcoholic cocktail of my life. Thank you to all the staff for being so friendly and for a superb start to our evening.
