We returned for our third holiday and had a wonderful time once again. We donโ€™t have a car - so we get a taxi from Plymouth and a supermarket delivery. And then we just slow down and enjoy being in the countryside. Our children love the woods and the beach and thatโ€™s all we need really ๐Ÿ™‚ Birdsong, rock pools, stars at night, a new experience for the little ones; horse riding. All lovely.

Just had a lovely, relaxing stay in Churchwood valley. The description of the valley and its seclusion is very accurate. No phone signal on EE and limited WiFi- definitely getting away from it all! We took our iPad so that we could enjoy cosy nights in watching our favourite shows. |I have knocked a star off for the accommodation. When we first arrived we were given the cabin A1, which has 2 rooms and sleeps 6. This may sound excessive for 2 people but having stayed in quite a few cabins to date, we have learnt to size up! The first impression of the cabin was not good. There was a strong musty smell when we entered and overall the aesthetic was looking tired, and damaged in areas. The shower was also a small cubicle. This didnโ€™t meet our expectations for our week away so we went and spoke with reception. |Jo on reception was wonderful. She was very understanding and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We were very lucky (as off season) that there was another cabin available. It was much better! It was similar size but had a bath/shower and was more polished. The cabin was still very basic and has a musty smell- but was manageable. |Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location is great, you can get back to nature and enjoy some hikes, whilst also popping over to Plymouth for a fun day out. Would recommend for people looking to get away and who enjoy rustic accommodation.

This is the 2nd time we have been as a couple and forth time for me personally. |Such a lovely time away together with our two pups. Time to switch off and really relax properly and I mean properly. Time to sit and take stock and balance the mind in such a tranquil setting and in comfort. Taking time to spend together and some fantastic early morning walks to be had too. Cabin was fantastic, clean, warm and has everything you need. We really enjoy it at Churchwood Valley, its such a healing place to be. We have already booked again for next year it suits us that much. 110% satisfied

Lovely, clean, cosy cabin with everything you need (crockery, kitchen equipment, even a dishwasher and washing machine!) Yes, the cabins are a little dated maybe but this adds to their charm ๐Ÿ™‚. Beds and sofa bed were comfortable. We had good, powerful shower over a bath.

There were 6 of us and we managed just fine in the space (an A6+ cabin).

Very quiet and private. No one could see down to our patio area and we could not see anything but trees and the back of one other cabin. Lots of birds, squirrels and butterflies to see. Absolutely beautiful place to sit and have a cuppa on the patio.

10 minute walk, mostly down the private lanes of the site, to the lovely beach. Perfect for exploring the rocks, skimming stones and swimming. Also ideally placed to explore Plymouth and Dartmoor.

Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the booking process and the holiday.

We were all disappointed that we could not stay longer and are already looking to book another stay. Would highly recommend this site for peace and quiet and easy beach access.

You have hustle and bustle, then you have church valley, the best tonic ever, it's so peaceful, the cabin we are in is tastefully furnished, it has everything you need. You have lovely walks on your doorstep and ten minutes to the sea.
Unfortunately we have to go home on Saturday at the end of a lovely week. We will be back. The staff are very helpful, very friendly. You have to come and see for yourself. It's a little bit of heaven on earth.
