Sadly although a lovely cafe with excellent coffee and cakes, the opening times are not reliable.
I recently arranged to meet a friend there on a Saturday and it was closed.
The owner was there but said they could not get staff. I asked why they did not update their website and was told it was too difficult and they did it on social media
Alas not everyone uses social media.
How difficult can it be to update a website to say if a place is closed? I really don't know
It was easy enough for me to post a review.

A great little cafe. Popped in during a walk from Hexham: excellent coffee and cakes, lovely friendly service. The food menu looks good - will try it next time we visit.

Faultlessly tasty hot and cold food (we ordered soup and sandwiches) and drinks served to a table of five in good time. We had no complaints. We will no doubt return in the future.

Best ceaser salad I have ever had. Warm and welcoming, intimate setting and best of all dog friendly (plenty of shade, water and lead hooks available)

Citrus Catering were outstanding, they managed a crowd of 80 people for a memorial in a village hall brilliantly, which wasn't an easy job, the food was delicious. Service outstanding.
