My husband and I found quick refuge in this guest house when our train from Bristol was canceled on Friday night. All other hotels in the city were occupied. It was a bit confusing to get inside, but the customer service lady explained everything well, was very friendly, responsive and stayed in touch with us until we got to our room. The room was basic for the price, but clean and had everything we needed. The advantages are the location of the hotel and the availability of a kitchen. We slept well and rested. Overall a good place to stay in Gloucester for one night.

This room was booked for family member who needed to come and stay due to family reasons.
We met them in the evening and asked how room was.
They said the smell of Cannabis when entered was so strong was awful. You can't contact anyone even though 24hr. They said room was ok apart from sockets don't work properly and bed was comfortable but bit low.
Cleaning wasn't up to standard.
Next day they contacted us to say they went to breakfast but decided against it and went somewhere else. We had paid for them to have breakfast there but they said it was so unclean, there was no clean dishes. Worktops were so sticky they just couldn't eat there.
I saw photos and it is disgusting. Health and hygiene need contacting. We going to claim breakfast back.
Having seen photos and heard of cleaning standards I wouldn't take my pet there.
Sounds like a personal choice.
I won't be booking anyone there again...

Grim and grotty. No staff around, self check-in and it’s obvious why. Nobody answering the phone either.||The worst thing was when I ran my hand over the mattress I could feel springs sticking out, I mean, how do they expect anyone to sleep on that? Kettle grubby. Window closure dodgy. Hanging rail wobbly. Curtains need washing. I left and managed to get a booking at the wonderful Edward Hotel in London Rd, Gloucester which is 100% better.||This dreadful place is refusing to refund my money when I didn’t even stay there! Hotels.com aren’t helping either so I won’t be using them again.

Hey this place is a little gem, I was a bit worried when I pulled up as couldn't find a parking space but soon realised there was extra spaces next door. The room is great, it's like a mini apartment with lovely little boutique touches and everything you need. Shower and bathroom very clean and everything just works.||It's not huge and bed is quite basic but comfortable. It's a short walk across the beautiful Gloucester park into town and easy to find from the main roads.||It's extremely good value as they include a continental breakfast and cooking fridge facilities are 24/7. If you need an inexpensive solo bolt hole when visiting Gloucester look no further, this will do nicely thank you very much ❤️||I really enjoyed my overnight here

Having read the reviews on here I had a vague idea of what to expect and wasn't looking forward to it.... how wrong I was to trust some of these reviews!||Yes it's in a bit of a rough and ready area and there are some shady characters hanging around in the evening... however don't bother them and they don't bother you.||Parking is as advertised out front and space for about 3 cars but I believe you can park outside no 74 too.||The building itself is very clean and tidy once inside albeit a little dated in places.||I didn't use the breakfast included with my room as had other plans but I did check out the breakfast/kitchen area and was very impressed at how clean and modern it was and how many seats were available overlooking a well kept garden. ||I had room 205 at the very top of the property overlooking the street and found it to be very clean. Nice clean bedding and towels provided as well as tea and coffee facilities although I was missing a spoon which was a bit annoying but I didn't let it ruin my day like some would. The bathroom was clean and had enough toilet roll for my stay, the shower did have a bit of the beading hanging off at the bottom and a bit of mould around the edges but it's not the end of the world and I survived. ||The sink provided very hot water from the hot tap but the cold tap did turn when I used it which was comical however it still worked as it should, i have mentioned it in the review to the hotel as I didn't see any of the owners whilst there.||Would I stay again... probably not as I don't plan on going back to Gloucester anytime soon but if I were to go back I certainly would consider it as the room was almost 50% cheaper than alternatives in the same area!||Oh and if you're over 16 and have a driving licence there are a few VOI scooter parking areas nearby which are a great way to get around for 17p per minute!!

Should not be called a guest house! This is obviously emergency accommodation with the costs covered by local authorities! Obvious Drug use inside and out the property! We had to order Mac Donald’s Uber eats as we had munchies from secondary inhalation!! Damaged poor fitted fixtures and fittings. Carpets don’t meet walls, door missing on wardrobe, draws missing from chest of draws, a well built adult could squeeze through the gap under the door! Poor ventilation in room, windows open on to the neighbouring room, where we were exposed to the scents and sounds of one couples Monday Sesh, tales of violence and assault followed by intimate moments!! We literally left at 5am, didn’t even bother venturing to the ‘breakfast room’. Litter and Rough sleepers out front, unofficial party in the park all night, with revellers still as sleep in the bandstand at 5am or smoking pipes on the bench! I acknowledge the price is low but so is a Travelodge!! Avoid avoid avoid

This place should be condemned. Read and trust the reviews. Damp everywhere, unclean, terrible bedding, no headboard, poor carpeting, terrible area, hairs in shower where not cleaned. I could go on for hours. Actually slept in van outside to get away from the smell. If you look at pictures this place looks OK. In reality it is the worst unhygienic place I have ever stayed

This guest house is very convenient for the centre of Gloucester but it is not cheap £107 for a double room in June with a free breakfast. I expected a bit of luxury for that price and was disappointed with a plain room at the back of the house. The breakfast room was light and spacious and you could help yourself to as much cereal and toast as you could eat.
