The stay delivered what we needed - good location and pleasant room. Therefore as a hotel i'd recommend. Disappointing, poor breakfast though - think the photo says it all (although the poached egg was cooked well), the dry, cheap toast and oily bacon let it down coupled with cold coffee and 'cheap tasting' juice.

A classy place, not in terms of all of the things you would have at a megabucks hotel, where you would expect everything for the price you would be paying, but in terms of the hotel team from reception to waiting staff, they all made the effort to make us feel very welcome. A special mention for the chef, he went over and above on service. My wife is vegetarian and he made the effort to come out of the kitchen to our table and provide the vege.options available including some he would be happy to do that weren’t on the menu. That level of attentiveness is very rare and really was appreciated.

Booked for 2 nights mid September for my birthday, then stayed an extra night as the hotel was so lovely and also convenient for sightseeing in the Cotswolds. Location is a short walk to the Brewery Quarter, town centre and Pittville Park. |Room was clean, well appointed and well equipped, bed very comfortable, great walk-in shower.|Breakfast was excellent as was the service. All staff very friendly and welcoming. On-site parking a bonus. |Cocktail bar has good selection of drinks.|Hotel is pet friendly, small park in square opposite was ideal for dog walking. |Enjoyable stay, will definitely return.

Wow. |Just returned from our 2nd visit as a family staying in the Wellesley for 4 nights. |This is slowly becoming our second home, any spare time we have we shall be booking this beautiful hotel for the foreseeable. |Elaine is such a welcoming and lovely lady, every need we had was well and truly met. |The food was Devine, fantastic service and immaculate beautiful room. |Thank you so much for our stay, we will be back in the new year xxx

Picked this hotel as it has car parking. Lovely building. Our room was quite small but OK for a 2 night stay. Limited wardrobe space if you were staying for longer & nowhere to put cases. Very quiet. Rooms warm, I think due to underfloor hot water pipes, but fans were available if required. Main issue is the shower. It doesn't have a door so basically turns the bathroom into a wet room. No drainage so the water seeps under the door & onto the bedroom carpet. Annoying having to mop the floor after every shower. |Breakfast was very good. Nice bar/lounge area. |5 minute walk to Brewery district & about 20 mins to Montpellier area.

Hotel is a tad dated. Not 4 start, more like 2-3 star. Rooms are basic. Mine looked very tatty, wall paper peeling, ceiling looking like it might drop on my head at any time. |Big comfortable bed , tea and biscuits on room. I hope breakfast is better than the deco.

The building is charming with lots of original features. The room was lovely. Had a great nights sleep. All the staff we met were polite and friendly. We had our evening meal in the hotel, the dining room is very pleasant and the food was delicious. |Had drinks in the bar after our meal which was a relaxing end to a busy day. Great to have free car parking on site. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hotel stay in the area as great value for money.
