We hired Claret Catering for our wedding in September 2024 and couldn’t be happier with their service and hospitality. From initial consultation we were met with warmth and they were able to tailor a menu that was bespoke to us and catered for all dietary requirements (gluten and dairy free, vegan and veggie) as well as a children’s menu. Colin and family were happy to adapt to our setup needs when we needed tablecloths changing (venue had odd table sizes and they very quickly swapped for the correct size). On the day we were blown away with the quality of food and service. The front of house staff were friendly, swift and attentive, and when we needed to push back dinner service by half an hour due to timings on the day, it was no problem. We couldn’t recommend Claret highly enough - thanks to you all for putting us at ease and delivering for our special day!

We have been working with Dawn and Jo since March 2019 for a proposed April 2020 wedding which unfortunately was postponed twice due to lockdowns. We finally got married in July 2021 so have been working with Dawn and Jo on and off for a little over 2 years. Dawn helped us with suggested menus as we had no idea where to start. Both were always at the end of an email as during the 2 years there have been tweaks, number changes, price adjustments etc. Both Dawn and Jo were always happy to meet, sometimes out of hours as we do not live locally. Jo even transported our cake to the venue as we could not trust ourselves with it. The food on the day was lush and far exceeded our expectations. It was all cooked on site at a venue with no actual kitchen available to them, which in my eyes is a challenge! We had canapes, with a full three course wedding breakfast followed by a cheese and pickle supper. We incorporated into this a tailored drinks package, which worked well. Jo and her team on the day were very organised and everything ran like clockwork. She in fact was basically running the show, from the catering to the DJ as our event organiser left the venue at noon. The bar staff were very friendly and it felt like we were amongst friends. Jo even kept checking in with us to ensure everything was ok. If I needed catering in Dorset again, I would definitely use Claret again.

Claret Catering created five platters of canapés for my event yesterday and they all went down very well. Just the right amount of food to see us through until a 10 o’clock dinner.

They were professional and easy to deal with throughout the whole process. Will be recommending them and hopefully using them again.

We.choose Claret Catering for our wedding and so pleased we did. From the very beginning they have been amazing. Really helpful and offering great advice when we were unsure of things! We didn't meet them until the weekend of the wedding due to covid but when we did it felt like we had known Jo (we didn't get to meet Dawn sadly) all our lives. She was outstanding and her and her team were so friendly and professional I would not hesitate to recommend them. Everything went smoothly, Jo even helping with my dress adjustments!! We opted for an afternoon tea and hogroast, it was perfect and our guests are still talking about it over a month later!!
A special thankyou to Jo who bakes all the food herself . I was really looking forward to her homemade scones but couldn't fit them in so hid one in my room for later which went astray! When I told Jo about it weeks later she very kindly baked a few extra for me and hand delivered them to me now not many caterers would do that what an absolute gem so glad we found them!

This is probably the best company I've ever dealt with. We got married in November 2022 and both Jo and Dawn are brilliant. Jo was an excellent communicator and organiser on the lead up to the big day and Dawn was superb on the day itself. Her and her team produced a lovely meal, not to mention canapes and evening buffet, that we will never forget. Her and her staff are the pinnacle of what good service should be - nothing was too much trouble. I couldn't recommend Claret Catering highly enough. Thank you and we'll always remember you.

I have known Dawn and her team for many years through being a local florist, I have worked on many weddings that have been catered by Claret, they have always been welcoming and helpful to me and my team. Our mutual brides have described the service they’ve received from Dawn and Jo as being over and above that expected from a caterer!!
I have also been both a client for my mother’s wake and a guest at a couple of weddings catered by them, the standard of service is exceptionally high and the food outstanding.
I would highly recommend Claret Catering!!

Jon & I got married 6th Aug '21. Despite being faced with the 'pingdemic' & possible food supply issues, Jo went above & beyond to make sure the catering for our day was exactly what we wanted. She was organised, a brilliant communicator & thought of things we hadn't considered. The food on the day, canapes, a sit down wedding breakfast & evening buffet, were all amazing, as well as the staff! We would highly recommend Claret Catering!

I have known the team from Claret Catering for many years and I have been lucky enough to sample their food and see them working at countless weddings (I'm a full time wedding film maker). Their food is excellent and so is their customer service, I've even seen Dawn baby sit for a couple while they were eating their meal.
I'm always happy to recommend them to my wedding couples as they always deliver.
