Whilst the hotel is a little tired in places it is very pleasant. Bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and absolutely delicious. Ellie was so incredibly helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately the junior suite, that we had booked, was unexpectedly out of use, for no fault of the hotel, so we were given a different executive room but it was still lovely and they reduced the price and gave us free drinks, by way of an apology. So all in all, they couldn't have been more attentive.

Stayed here for 2 nights on our way to Norfolk. We had the Attic Executive room, which was a bit of a climb but worth it for the peace and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and excellent pillows, which we have issues with in most other places. Breakfast is excellent all round with good choices. very well ciiked and tasty, we also had an evening meal which again was excellent, steak was amazing.

Myself and Dr Peters and our 10 month baby, stayed in the hotel apparently in there luxury top executive family suite @ £86 a night, (it’s better known as faulty towers and been on 4 in a bed and looking and reading about I see why), No running cold water at all!! The water was undrinkable as the cold tap was running warm water at all times, shower also had same issues even more so, (room 18) the shower was far too hot, very little way to cool the water down in the mixer shower, one towel for a family of 3!! (no consideration, bad management, smelt old and unpleasant). Very cold rooms (very tight on the heating, they had full control over the heating at night), letting you freeze in winter, you have no thermostat control in your room, it was miserably & cold and our baby was very cold are were we too, noisy guests and very thin walls, heard everything, writing this review at 4am, I’m very angry indeed, when our baby woke up cold crying and I can clearly see why. ||We are not impressed at all. They hotel has single glazed windows you hear all the traffic going pass on the road like jet engines!! (VERY LOUD, ALL NIGHT LONG) unrested and worst hotel we have ever experienced in our lives. We can’t wait to leave and decided to book another hotel on the way back home as we are all exhausted and tired from this place and unable travel as we so tired. A tent would have been warmer in a garden. Avoid at all cost, not clever. No point in complaining as literally they won’t do nothing, place needs closing down. ||It’s just a money making pit with no customer satisfaction, any excuses I’d love a full refund that’s not going to happen and I really would tell others please don’t go here!!

Hosts really do make a difference to a hotel stay, very disappointing at Cley Hall, rooms look good yet not is all it seems. Not clean when you look around and very over priced. Do not expect to sleep well either… hotel shakes with the traffic, so loud too. I would not stay here again

We stayed at Cley Hall Spalding which has glowing reviews. That's why I chose it as a special trip for family from Australia.
We were quite disappointed at the rooms in the Coach house.
I had booked 3 rooms cost £327.
Not particularly cheap.
The rooms were small , hot and very noisy traffic if you opened the window.
The bed not very big and more like a trampoline. In their add they show beautiful furnishings and I assume we would have the same in the Coach house.
We did have a nice breakfast and the place was clean but a bit musty .
So glad I only booked my family in for 1 night.
I'm sure the main house would be different as most reviews are positive ones. So that's why the Coach house was a disappointment for the price paid
livvy.

Warning.
In addition to this review we were charged twice for our rooms . So please check your Statements when they come.

We really enjoyed our two night stay, the old building with it's layout and lovely garden area, the rooms were of a good size and very clean. A lovely large bed and the quiet surroundings made for a good night's sleep.
The breakfast was very good and nothing was problem for the staff.
All the staff we encountered were very polite and very helpful.
If we are ever in Spalding again this would be our hotel of choice.
Well done keep up the good work, nice to have met you all.

Quick and efficient check in, managed to upgrade our room too. Gemma was very helpful during our stay and is a real credit to the hotel. Having breakfast in our room was a huge help as my husband wasn’t feeling very well. Breakfast was delicious! Sure we will be staying again.

Disappointed with our rooms in the Coach house. We were on a special event so wanted somewhere really nice for daughter and husband from Australia. We paid £327 for 3 small rooms which were very warm but traffic so noisy we couldn't sleep with them open. The bed more of a trampoline not as good as premium or Travelodge.|I'm sure it's nicer in the main part of Hotel . The Coach house smelt a bit musty when we opened the main door.|Nicely carpeted but basic in all other ways. This is our honest appraisal of the coach house that should have been much cheaper.
