Do not stay here itโ€™s a health hazard!!! We were supposed to stay at the property but it was that bad we booked something else you share the hotel and bathroom with drug users!!! The beds were wet, there were stains and hairs on the bed sheets, the place absolutely stank, and there was mould everywhere which the just said was down to cleaning products from a deep clean during covid (4 years ago). We called the host who turned up and was rude, aggressive and condescending he offered to move us to another room which was for 2 heterosexual males to share a double bed and for us to pay the extra for this privilege. Avoid this place like the plague ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคฎ

Honestly don't understand all the negative reviews. You get what you pay for. The place is a bit outdated, but it's cheap and cheerful, clean and safe. It's a roof over your head for the night! We have absolutely no complaints. The staff were lovely to us and were happy to help, always had a smile when we saw them. Room was clean, tidy, fresh bedding and it was exactly what it says on the tin. Shared bathroom opposite the room but for the cheap price I think some people need to get a grip. Coffee and tea with biscuits provided, location is good and honestly didn't have any issues at all. Would definitely return for a no-frills, one night stop over.

A clift guest house more like clift crack house. this may be cheap and cheerful but dont let it fool you. The smell of mould hits you when you walk in the room. The fridge was hot and it smelt as if a rotting animal had been in it. Stained mattresses and flys in the room. don't recommend.

I stayed here for 1 night as 1 adult with a shared bathroom. I don't understand these nasty reviews that people have left. All I expect is clean and comfortable. Some people just enjoy trying to ruin someones business. I was greeted with a smile and I had a nice little room to myself, filled with a kettle, mini fridge, tea, coffee, little plastic milks and biscuits, iron and board, mini fan, heater, TV etc. Basically everything. The bed itself was fine, there was a mattress protector on it so the owner has obviously taken on board all of these comments which is great. Everything was clean, yes maybe not so modern but what do people really expect? If you want a grand hotel then go elsewhere!?! They don't do breakfast but they do have a shared kitchen where you can cook your own meals and that was perfect for me. All in all, I had a nice sleep. The other guests, if any, were very quiet and I didn't hear a sound. I think the 1 and only fault was the smell of smoke upstairs, I personally don't mind if people smoke but I know others would hate that. Apart from that I will be giving this a 5 star rating and will be returning in the future. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Spent two nights in an en suite room. Really enjoyed stay will stay again when I'm in Bristol. Facilities basic tea, coffee, biscuits, toiletries, iron and board etc. Staff there very welcoming very friendly. Nice hot shower. It's on a main road lot of traffic but goes by about 9pm. Had two really good nights sleep better than I do at home.

I stayed with friends at Clift Guest House for a hen party on the night of 13/07/19, and we were very pleasantly surprised! After reading the terrible reviews before arriving, we were dreading what was about to unfold as we checked in. My friend and I stayed in room 7 on the very top floor, another 2 of the girls in room 6 and the remaining girls from the party in room 1. The whole guest house was absolutely spotlessly clean. Our bathroom and bedroom was small but all we needed for our short stay. We had a fridge, tea and coffee, kettle, bed side fan (thank you so much!), free WiFi, tv and hairdryer. The only let down was that they didnโ€™t leave us any milk. The gentleman who checked us in was super - friendly and polite. Only negative feedback was that I wanted to stay in bed all day Sunday and we had to check out by 10! The mattress was unbelievably comfy. Thank you, I would recommend this place to friends staying in Bristol // diolch yn fawr!

It does not even deserve 1 rating. We walked out, we rather sleep in the car! The bed linen looked dingy and the place smelt of smoke or something very similar. I wished I had seen the picture of the bedbugs before I booked. The whole place was disgusting. I knew it wasn't going to be a high standard but I was expecting it be clean for the price I was charged.||If you are used a nice clean bed and room do not stay here. I did not dare to enter the kitchen after seeing my bedroom.||I know some of the guests were pleased to stay because they would normally have to sleep on the streets otherwise.||If this is what Bristol has to offer I will not be returning!! ||My advise if you cannot get a well known hotel try outside of the city I wished I had.
