Couldn’t fault anything about the place. Lynne and George are fantastic, and make a cracking breakfast who will chat away like you’re old friends. If you’re not sure of what to do during your stay, they’ll be able to recommend really good places (shoutout to the Fat Badger recommendation). The attic room was really nice, comfy bed and a separate area with a sofa. Plenty of hot drinks, biscuits, and water left in the room. Short walk to the centre of Whitby; there is a hill but perfectly doable when you’re not unfit like us.

We left with a hug, smiles, and very full stomachs.

We had a fabulous 3 day stay with Lynn & George, they are the perfect hosts, so very generous and kind, will go out of their way to help you. The accommodation was perfect as was the breakfasts, everything you wanted from various fruits, cereals and yogurt. The cooked breakfasts are fulfilling and wonderful, no grease in sight. We would certainly stay with them again should the occasion arise. A big advantage is free off road parking to the rear if their property.

We booked this guest house purely for the location as we wanted to be near the Cinder Track parkrun. We knew it was about a 10 minute walk from town. What a find and where to begin. I'll start with the hosts who are two of the most pleasant, helpful and friendly people you could ever wish to meet. The room with the walk in shower, large screen TV and king sized bed was perfect and with daily top ups of the refreshments. Breakfast was incredible with a great selection. There is on site private parking but we didn't use it this time. We have already booked to return next year and we can't wait.

The Coast Guest House is a phenomenal gem of Whitby and Lynne and George were an added highlight of the property for sure!

An amazingly clean and stylish B&B with the essence of a loving home; a big cosy bed, onsite parking, well catered to rooms and a 5* full english! Excellent value for money and especially if you book direct!

This is the best guest house/B&B i have ever stayed in. I don't say that lightly as i travel the world for work and stay in the best and worst accommodations'. Lyne and her partner who run and own the B&B are great hosts. The rooms are absolutely spotless freshly renovated to a very high standard like the rest of the building. The breakfasts are first class offering fresh fruit as well as full English with the produce coming from local suppliers and the local butchers. You will not go hungry! nothing is too much trouble plus they have parking at the rear for each of the three rooms. Good tip, book direct it's cheaper *****

My wife and I were looking forward to visiting Coast Guest House, based on all the good reviews. We would love to share our two day’s experience at this marvellous, spotless Guest house run by Lynne and George. They were both excellent hosts, George, with his great one liners and Lynne with her nice stories. Loved our early exotic phone call prior to arrival. The guest house is clean, immaculate and wonderfully appointed throughout. The decor in our room and bathroom were lovely, and for the towels and bed linen, they were so fluffy and white. They both made us feel so welcome and could not do enough for us. Breakfast each morning was plentiful and lovely. The guest house is within a leisurely stroll down to the town centre and the beach. There is parking at the rear of the property for all guests, which is a bonus. If you are after a quality break, fab hosts, and a lovely place to stay, you will not be disappointed staying at Coast Guest House. Loved our chats with Lynne and George.
