Not impressed with the staff, it's like a social club, they are all too busy chatting among themselves to notice customers. Don't even get me started on the 2 staff who I'm assuming are management who were vaping right outside the door and flirting with the cash collecting security guy when the poor girl on the till was trying to get a price but we all had to stand around waiting for her/them to be done vaping and flirting!

2 coffees 2 rolls £18 odd, not worth the money!

Terrible atmosphere could only hear the staff chatting above my own conversation with someone sat opposite me!

Coffee was great, staff were great, service was great, but 50p extra for oat milk is absolutely outrageous.

We don't even need to go into why some people might choose oat milk. 50p is daylight robbery for a dairy alternative.

Went in yesterday with my young child. Ordered a coffee and a toasted sandwich to have in. A bottle for my table was thrust into my hand by a very rude gentleman who kept running his hands through his very greasy hair....just what you want from someone handling your food. Even though I had this bottle, I still had to stand and wait for over 15 minutes for one coffee....which was baffling as there were two people making coffee and it wasn't even that busy. My sandwich was ready long before my coffee so it just sat getting cold on the table. Toilets absolutely stank and the service was well below par. I didn't even get the correct coffee after waiting all that time. Plus for one coffee and one toasted sandwich it was about £13 ...

I came to this coffee 1 at yate today
Sunday 21 07 24. The lady serving me had been on her own all day, there was no cover for absent staff. She wouldn't have had a break all day either.
And still her attitude was exemplary.
And care for customers too.
I was totally impressed.
And just hope the company appreciates this person.
The shop was busy, and running perfectly.
Well done.

Been a few times and it's always just ok. Having to ask for sugar makes it feel cheap. Appreciate people take sugar but if that's eating your profits so much then put sugar cubes on the table. Staff were nice but manager/supervisor was curt when I asked where sugar was. Coffee is fine and the cakes were decent.

Super cafe. Relaxing decor. Good food at reasonable prices. There is a big BUT. There was only one young man working. His name is Joel. Coffee 1 are so very lucky to have him. The queue was to the door. He kept calm. Very polite, lovely young man. They are very lucky to have him. Some of the customers, me included, cleared tables to help him. Come on coffee 1 employ some more people otherwise you will lose the one good asset that you have.
Joel deserves a big bonus.

I always liked the coffe no.1 but today experience was not good at all.I ordered moka coffee. All chocolate powder was on the bottom of my cup and the lady who is making coffe and serving food was outside having break and had cigarette and then she didn't washed her hands and straight serving a food and coffe with this dirty hands after cigarette. Some training for health and safety and serving food will be not bad idea.
