We had a pre-paid reservation with hotels.com.
And had a telephone conversation with the hotel a day before check in, agreeing specific arrangements for a late check in.
When we arrived after a late flight the front door to the building was open, but no bedrooms doors were open despite them promising ours would be.
There was clearly no one either working or staying there, the place was deserted.
We tried calling and emailing but no response. And no response to follow up emails.
We tried every bedroom door twice, so had a good look around the public areas. From what we saw we conclude we had a lucky escape - the whole place was run down, grubby & grotty.
I note previous Tripadvisor reviews from people who have had the misfortune to stay at Colnbrook Lodge have variously described it as dirty, smelly, terrible, just awful, rundown and disastrous - from what I saw I would agree with all of the above. This place is just not a viable option.
Clearly I was naïve booking it, I had no idea that such truly awful places actually exist any more.
I should have read the reviews from the poor people who have had the misfortune to stay in this awful place.
We had a lucky escape NOT staying there.

If you don't have a lot of money, this may be an option. But otherwise it's hard to justify. I needed to wait quite sometime for the cleaning to be finished, the light over the mirror was broken and when I wanted to shower, the fan went on and sounded like it was torturing a broken helicopter so loudly that I decided it would be better to skip that part of self-care.

I had a great stay at the Colnbrook Lodge. It's so cozy and comfortable, and you can't beat it for value and convenience. Yes, there's some airplane noise, but if you're staying just a few bus stops from Heathrow that's to be expected. With my window shut it didn't bother me at all! The Italian restaurant downstairs is TO DIE FOR. All around, a welcoming place to stay.

A bad night's sleep guaranteed!
The rooms are directly above a noisy restaurant, but with the paper thin floors and walls, it might as well have been at the bottom of my bed! I went down to the restaurant/reception to ask for another room but was just told that the restaurant would be closing in 10 minutes, after which the noise levels continued as the restaurant staff continued talking until well after 11pm. Do NOT staying here if you require a good night's sleep!

This was an affordable, clean, and comfortable place to stay the night before my flight out of Heathrow. Checking in was quick and easy. I actually slept so well that I woke up 30 minutes past my alarm! The bus to Heathrow is right across the street, making this an amazing choice for those who want to lessen the stress of airport traffic. Next time I hope to be able to sample the Italian cuisine downstairs!

Really nice hotel and staff very professional and polite. Refurbishment has greatly improved the hotel and has been completed to a high standard.
A real pity the carparking is so expensive, takes the edge off the value for money really.

We booked a room via website of the lodge for one night , from yesterday till today. At the booking I wrote a notice, that we intend to use the room only today .We arrived today early morning, and wanted only a short rest near to Heathrow, because our flights departed after a long while in the afternoon. |We reached the Lodge at 8 am. There was NOBODY. The door was open, but nobody was in the building. We called many times the phone number of the lodge and the restaurant, but nobody picked up the phone. We were very disappointed. By the way some days ago we got an email from the lodge to let a confirmation about our arriving. I confirmed it. |It seems, that the Lodge doesn’t work! I am very curious why is it possible to make booking there via website. And I am very curious how will a get back my money paid for nothing||DON’T BOOK there!!!!!!!!

I was really impressed with this place, considering the price and location. Room was noisy with the restaurant below, however I was aware of this when booking. Lady who greeted me when I arrived was very friendly. I'd recommend this place if you need to stay a night near Heathrow on a budget.
