Wonderful three night stay. Absolutely beautiful rural location, yet just a short walk (footpath) to a great pub (The Lamb Inn, Sandford). Spacious room and excellent breakfast, very friendly owner and wonderful garden. We strongly recommend and wish to come back one day!

An amazing stay in such a beautiful B&B. The farm is nestled in a very picturesque and quiet valley. The gardens are immaculate and Frederiek (the host) was incredibly friendly and helpful with everything. Excellent location to those looking to explore Dartmoor, or simply to enjoy a wholesome retreat! Very much makes me want to buy a country manor house!!

Great b and b. Fantastic breakfast, stunning views. Clean room, really nice country farm house and hosts are very welcoming - you can even read about the house history! Website doesn't do it justice. If you're there for a while it has table tennis and a pool table.

Combe lancey was among the few placed we stayed during our 'lets cover all of south-west' tour. This was the place we enjoyed most . This place is a fine example the idyllic farmhouse country living holiday places out there. Having come from London, the contrast couldn't have been starker, in a good way. Nice amenities, lovely breakfast and miles and miles of amazing landscapes and farmlands to explore. The village pub within walking distance offered us some of the finest bitters we tasted ever. Highly recommended. would love to go there again.

We had the good fortune to have booked Combe Lancey Farmhouse B&B for one night when attending a nearby wedding . The experience was very special , and far exceeded our expectations . Our hostess could not have been more welcoming and helpful , the bedrooms and bathrooms were extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean and well appointed , and the location is 'to die for' as they say ! Though somewhat difficult to find , it is worth the effort ! The ancient house itself is tranquil and full of genuine character , surrounded by wonderful grounds adjoining the farm , with pastoral views , and an immaculately maintained formal garden in front of the long thatched house . Our breakfast was of a very high standard using the best local produce , and we certainly didn't go hungry . In fact it gave a new meaning to the term 'full' English Breakfast ! If I have one request it is that for those who do not have modern technology on board when driving to the location , that a) The name of the nearby village - Sandford - is included in the address , and that b) in the directions rough distances are given to guide the motorist . Narrow country lanes , with high hedges , few passing places , and inadequate signage all conspire to make it difficult to find this very special historic place . But it is well worth it when you do arrive ! It was a memorable sojurn - but not long enough . We hope to return in due course . Many thanks !

I could not recommend Combe lancey highly enough. The hosts were absolutely outstanding and catered to our every need. The breakfast was fantastic and there was lots to do in the local area. We had a wonderful time despite the traditional English September weather! Would definitely stay here again.

We love this guest house. It's our second visit, stayed for two nights with three children. Both rooms en suite, immaculate throughout. Very pleasant owner, beautiful building and surroundings. Great breakfasts too.

This is a lovely little place, hidden away from what seems like almost everything. I’ve been here a few times now & it is a real gem. ||Nice big rooms, a lovely rural setting & always a warm welcome. ||It is a little tricky to find but once you’re there you benefit from the peace & quiet. ||Although it seems like you’re miles from anywhere, it’s actually just a few minutes drive from Crediton. ||The only negative I can come up with is there was no phone signal...but actually I didn’t mind that. ||A picture postcard setting with lovely, lovely people.
