Liked: A very well maintained site. Super friendly and helpful welcome. Well laid out with spotless showers and toilets. The view beyond the site was beautiful. A handy little dog walk runs alongside the site and there is a bus stop right outside. Leyburn and Richmond both worth visiting and easy to get to from the site.

Disliked: We were disappointed that the pub over the road closed early on Sundays and was shut on Mondays as it looked like it would have been nice - but obviously it’s opening hours are nothing to do with the site.

We visited here early May bank holiday weekend for the day. We weren’t camping or caravanning but visiting my brother in law and family because they were. ||We have done several camping trips as a family and wished we knew about this campsite. It was picturesque, clean, welcoming, and most importantly a safe environment for the children. There’s was a decent play ground for the kids, a lake to fish in, and plenty of open space to do other sports such as rounders or football.||The pitch size for both caravans or tents was decent. All with electric hook ups. A couple of hundred yards down there was a club house which was ok. Beer was decent, at good prices and had a bit of entertainment on, which came on after the Rugby match on tv. ||The area isn’t to far from Hornsea or surrounding villages if you need to shop or fancy a change for the day. ||Next time we go camping as a family would definitely consider coming here.

Liked: A clean, quiet and well tended site. We enjoyed a relaxing 4 night stay and will definitely go again. A peaceful gateway to the Dales. Clean shower blocks (can adjust shower temperature), water and waste facilities were well laid out.

Liked: Location perfect for stopover for NC500 or lake from south east. Pub literally across the road.

Disliked: Rules were very strict no ball games even on big field. Dogs on lead at all times even when outside your pitch. Very small dog walk. Only there as a stopover so fine.

Liked: Lovely clean site well layed out. Plenty of facilities to use , explained on arrival. Nice quiet pitch for the grand kids to go exploring. Took our dog, good exercise area behind tree line. Superb area of Yorkshire to be based to visit the dales. All in all a great time was had by all.

Liked: Very friendly welcoming couple run the site. They helped us out when we had a problem with our car. Gave us a lift and let us stay on an extra night

Disliked: A lot of road noise. Had not expected this in what we thought was a quiet area. Heavy traffic seemed to bump over something in the road outside. I had asked to be near the toilet facilities so this is why we were so near the road. There were other toilet blocks which would have been quieter. Most of the caravans are seasonal so it was a bit like a caravan cemetery. Lots of vans but hardly any people. No play areas or ball games allowed.

What a lovely little site! Super quiet and relaxing spot surrounded by farmland. There is an area for dog walking and all the amenities you need. Nice pub opposite which is also dog friendly. Staff could not have been more helpful. Plus a great price!
