Cornish Cottage - Liskeard

Just had three glorious days in this amazing cottage.
My husband and myself wanted to relax and that is what we got.
So quiet no noise. It was heaven. Jason and Lisa perfect hosts they were there if needed left you to yourself.would definitely recommend to anyone.

This large cottage looks great from the outside and is well set up for a family, with a good sized lounge and kitchen/diner and three bedrooms. Slightly odd having to access the bathroom/shower via the bedroom with two bunks but worked fine with a bit of cooperation. ||Useful to have wifi access. The kitchen had both a washing machine and dryer which was handy during our family stay. A vehicle is essential to make the most of the area and there is parking available for 2-3 cars.||Do not be put off by the route in past a garage and scrap yard as when you reach it the cottage is worth it. A range of facilities available locally with a nearby village shop and a full range of shops and facilities in Liskeard.

We arrived and opened the door to this wonderful old and character filled cottage. ||A lovely well equipped kitchen with washing machine and tumble dryer, made use of after a dip in the local river!||The front room is cosy with a wood burner useful on this cooler evenings. ||Jason the owner was very helpful in suggesting local eateries and places worth a visit that are a bit off the beaten track.He was also swift to attend when we had an issue with a tap!||The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with good beds and nice linens. The bath is huge and a great shower over the top. WE loved the space and it being away from the melee of the world. There were also 2 very friendly cats. The house is also animal friendly.||||It's approach is a little daunting with a lane full of old relics of cars and buses. But persevere and you little piece of quiet is not far away. We will be back 😀

We booked this cottage through another site. We checked Google for reviews and only came across one which said the cottage was dirty. It mentioned dog hairs and cobwebs and we thought that was probably the one occasion. Only we've come away with bites around our ankles from what appears to be pet fleas! We messaged the owners and they decided to ignore the message. ||The most upsetting thing for us was the grave in the garden. There was no mention of it whatsoever. If we had known about a 3 year old child's resting place in the garden we wouldn't have taken it. We now have 4 very traumatised children and it's brought back memories of our personal loss. At the end of the day I appreciate it can't be moved for legal and historical reasons but at least warn people about it! And make families aware as there could be a family having a break to get away from their own personal tragedy and to see that with no prior warning wether it's hundred years old or not it's just not on, it's not a case of being difficult or demanding it's about the owners showing empathy and pre warning people who could have children or could have gone through a similar event. ||We paid for a break and that is not what we got.

Rented this apartment from Cornish Cottages. Not at all impressed, very old furnishings, less than clean!|Blown double glazing and not worth visiting. Very poor response from manager when we compared. Will not use them again!
