We went for our 34th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint us. The location was good, well out in the country. The hotel had a nice feel about it and the room was excellent. It was a Sunday afternoon when we arrived. We had a wander about the grounds, one could imagine in the summer that it would be an great place to stay or to have an event there. We had a nice drink in the bar with some very tasty appetizer's. The starters we had were absolutely full of flavours (in my case were the scallops) the rib eye steaks were cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. The Malbec wine was served at a good temperature. We are not to fussed on having a sweet after the main meal but the sorbets and ice cream were tasty. To finish off we had a very good port. So over all meal we had was excellent, the owners have an extremely good chef who certainly knows how to cook very good food. The staff were very friendly and pleasant to talk to. We thoroughly would recommend going there.

4 of us had the set meal choosing different starters and we all had the roast turkey. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and the service and meal were all very good. Relaxed surroundings and we had pre lunch drinks and tea and coffee afterwards in the “lounge” area. Two of us hadn’t been for a number of years and were glad to see everything was still great. Thank you to all concerned. We will be back again before too long.

Good old fashioned service. Maybe a little tired but suits a clientele of a certain age. Nothing is too much trouble and any concerns are addressed immediately.
Excellent well presented food in the restaurant. Well appointed rooms with lots of extra little touches. Leaf tea with real milk I'm the fridge, fruit bowl and home made biscuits.

Corse Lawn Hotel is a charming building in a lovely location, well placed for exploring the Gloucestershire area. We stayed for three nights, and ate in the restaurant every day. Food was excellent throughout and we could see why it is popular with locals for meals out. The staff and owner of this hotel really do well at making you feel at home, and are attentive without being intrusive. As other reviewers have said, this is an old building that has quirks and a charm of its' own so don't expect it to be like an over-modernised chain-owned establishment. It is easy to slip into a comfortable, relaxing life here, feeling more like as houseguest than simply paying customer.

We had a most enjoyable stay here. The staff are excellent and the cuisine was very good. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches left in our room such a fresh milk, towel robes, a fruit plate and home made biscuits. We will definitely return.

We do not normally write reviews, but I feel I must on this occasion.|We had a lovely stay Sunday 1st September, for one night. We travelled with my sister and her partner so had two rooms. The rooms are big , very quiet and everything you could want in the room. The hotel had a quintessential English charm. We met the owner ba ba Hine, she was very friendly. We were made to feel very welcome. Your staff are a credit to you, smart and professionally dressed in reception and restaurants. Evening meal was outstanding and very attentive, the breakfast was amazing too. Lovely touches in bedrooms, included hand made biscuits, traditional loose tea, cafetière, and in the fridge a pint of milk! not the long life sachets you have in most hotels now.|Many thanks , we all had a lovely stay in your hotel.

The staff and dining was good but the room was dire, cracked windows with black mould, cracked bath with mould on surround, cobwebs on light fittings and dust on the sticky surfaces of the furniture. Cushions were stained and sofa badly worn. We had booked for 3 nights but stayed for one. Room not suitable for occupation. You won't want to see the photos we took. So disappointing as it could be great if some money was spent on a refurb.

A lovely hotel in a delightful setting with friendly, helpful staff it took us a while to get there but it has been more than worth it. Food is delicious and will definitely return. Would recommend a visit to anyone.
