Dishonest and Zero Accountability

I initially found this company while researching options for my skin healing journey. Like many others, I was drawn in by the positive reviews, which I now strongly suspect are fake.

In June 2024, I visited this clinic seeking professional help to restore my skin after years of struggling with post-pregnancy breakouts. During a brief consultation, Demi recommended the Cosmelan Peel, a treatment which sounded promising. Demi’s initial demeanour was friendly, and I decided to proceed, paying £1,200.

However, once payment was made, everything changed. They provided no paperwork—no receipt, no invoice, nothing—and communication became vague. Despite Demi’s prior examination of my skin, where she assessed my skin condition, i was made to feel I was right for the treatment but On the day of my scheduled treatment, (“pre-peel” )she said ideally for the treatment to be effective my skin would need to not have any active breakouts but that was not told to me prior as I wouldn’t have gone ahead with it as my skin always has active breakouts.

I was told to clear my skin then I can do it (but if it was that easy I wouldn’t be here in the first place)

Feeling frustrated and confused, I left without receiving the treatment I had paid for. Naturally, I requested a refund, but they refused and completely stonewalled me. Demi, who had been responsive before payment, now ignored my messages and calls. When she finally spoke with me, her attitude had changed completely—she was now shockingly rude and dismissive. Despite her earlier recommendation, she claimed the treatment was no longer suitable at present but refused to take responsibility or issue a refund.

During our phone conversation, which I have, Demi fabricated costs and insisted £900 of the £1,200 was for a “prescription” (even though I hadn’t received any treatment or product). She falsely claimed the treatment came pre-packaged from a supplier, but after contacting the supplier myself, I discovered this was untrue. Even when I offered to settle for a partial refund for the “pre-peel”, they refused, further proving their dishonest practices.

I am now left with nothing—no treatment, no product, and no refund. This business appears to exploit customers, offering no transparency or accountability. I will be pursuing this with the CTPA, Trading Standards, and any other relevant authority until I receive the refund I am owed.

Avoid this place at all costs. Their customer service is non-existent, and they seem more interested in taking your money than providing any real service. And it’s really sad to hear I am not the only one this has happened to.

I had morpheus 8 at cosmedica.

I've had problems with noticeable volume loss and skin laxity issues since- for example I had very mild marionette lines pre treatment but these are now much more prominent. My jowels and accordion lines have also worsened.

I would therefore not recommend morpheus 8 treatment on the basis of these negative changes, which are effecting my self confidence and general wellbeing massively.

Janine makes me feel very comfortable all the time . She does a very thorough session ensuring she's covered all areas , and always asks at the end if im happy. She genuinely wants to know how I feel about progress of the treatment too. Treatment is going very well and I wouldn't want anyone but Janine to do my laser, I'm very happy and I look forward to my sessions because of her .
