We booked for a 3 night stay over Easter and were able to take our dog which was fab. The cottage has amazing views over the beautiful countryside and is very cosy whatever the weather. It was lovely to have the log burner roaring during the evening. There are plenty of good walks from the doorstep and some great dog friendly pubs too! We met up with family at Lyme Park which is only a few miles drive away, perfect for children and adults alike. Will definitely go back to Old House to explore more of the local area. A lovely break!

We have a tradition of taking a week holiday in February each year. We rent a dog friendly self catered cottage where we can base ourselves, explore the surrounding area and relax after our day's walking in a home from home. We are not overly picky in our cottage search, but it must be dog friendly, must have a log burner, and must have a comfy looking bed. We planned a trip to derbyshire and came across the old house and we weren't disappointed. It ticked all of our boxes and then some. We ordered a fresh food basket which was lovely especially the home made bread. 🙂 The cottage itself is quite quirky with the living room downstairs and bed bath and kitchen upstairs. It was so nice to be woken by the morning song chorus. The cottage is on a farm so dogs must be under control. It has a small front garden unenclosed but there is a lovely walk just at the back of the farm. We even found a few sneaky geocaches back there. Would definitely recommend this cottage. Perfect for a couple. Nice and clean and had all the basic equipt you need. Thank you for having us.

What a lovely place to stay and so fantastic landscape! Pam and Nick (the owners) are very nice and really friendly, so kind and very generous. My son got a chance to go and pick up some fresh eggs in the morning with Nick, and got to learn a lot about animals. We stayed there only three nights, and we had really hard time leaving Cote Bank Farm. We'd definitely come back to have more relaxing holiday at Cote Bank Farm again.

We have just returned home after a magical few days at Cherry Tree Cottage and what a fantastic time had by all! We booked via Pam the owner who let us know that she would be away on holiday during our visit but her daughter in law Karen would look after us, Karen certainly did look after us, she||was friendly, very helpful, attentive informative and darn good fun so Pam should have no worries about leaving her in charge again! The cottage is very clean, cosy and well equipped and although feels like you are miles from anywhere (bonus!) is actually only a very short drive from anything you could possibly need. ||All in all this is a must for any traveler whether looking for a relaxing holiday or a fantastic base to explore the best of what Derbyshire has to offer. ||Thanks again Karen and all on the farm for making our stay so memorable, we will be back soon!!!â˜ēâ˜ēâ˜ēâ˜ē

We have stayed in this beautiful cottage four times now since first discovering it around 10 years ago, and it is always an absolute delight. ||Set amongst rolling hills and offering panoramic views high up in the Peaks, the location is perfect to escape and unwind, but still close enough to all the towns, villages and attractions that this stunning part of the country has to offer.||The Old House itself is out of this world and hands down the best self catering accommodation we have stayed in, anywhere! From the country kitchen equipped with everything you could need, to the spacious bedroom with beamed ceiling and incredibly comfortable king size bed, to the huge fireplace and log burner in the cosy lounge - all are finished to such a high standard, and in perfect keeping with the age and history of the place. ||Pam and Nic are fabulous hosts, very friendly and welcoming without being intrusive; they have got it down to a fine art and could teach others how it should be done :)||Simply excellent.

We were astonished at the warm and luxurious interior of this self catering cottage. The house was very large and can accommodate plenty of people including dogs (not allowed upstairs). The setting is beautiful looking over fields and hills. Everything you need is there, and it is an ideal place for a large family celebration or holiday.

We have recently returned from a week in Cherry Tree Cottage at Cote Bank Farm. A home from home with easy access to beautiful countryside to walk our dog Bonnie. We spent the days walking and the evenings in front if the cosy fire, logs and coal provided. Recommended.

We stayed there for three days visiting a friend who is staying there alittle longer. Warm bedrooms with private bathrooms. Cosy and beautifully decorated living and common rooms. Picturesque surroundings and a very nice couple taking care of everything. We could not be more happy about our stay.
