Our recent stay at the Cotswolds Hotel and Spa was an absolute delight. We booked the Studio Room, and it exceeded all expectations. The room was spacious, modern, and tastefully designed, making it feel like a home away from home. The fully equipped kitchen was a fantastic feature, allowing us to prepare meals with ease, while the lounge area offered a comfortable spot to relax after a day of exploring the beautiful Cotswolds.

The highlight of the room was undoubtedly the private patio, which provided stunning views of the surrounding countryside and golf course. Sipping coffee in the morning with such a serene backdrop was a true pleasure. The hotel grounds were equally impressive—well-maintained and peaceful, perfect for a leisurely stroll.

The spa was a wonderful bonus. We indulged in a couple of treatments, which were expertly delivered by the friendly and professional staff. The thermal suite and relaxation areas added an extra layer of tranquility to our stay.

Whether you’re looking for a romantic escape or a rejuvenating getaway, the Cotswolds Hotel and Spa is a fantastic choice. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already planning our next visit! Highly recommended.

We booked very last minute and for the price we paid got an excellent room with an excellent location in the Cotswalds, though I would say you definitely need to drive there and the welcome through a small lane next to a primary school is not what you would expect. The rooms are of high quality and comfort, with all amenities provided. The welcome at reception was OK, and we booked the restaurant for dinner however we were not greeted on arrival. It appeared there was 1 server working the entire restaurant across all duties, though he was doing a good job, he was stretched. We were eventually sat and met with a small set menu, we both ordered burgers and were pleased with them. The apple crumble for desert though was uncooked - the filling was warm but the crumble itself was raw. We just left it as the waiter was already working very hard and we didn't feel comfortable disrupting him. It was a very quiet and dull atmosphere in the restaurant, even with around 7 other tables being there. It felt quite odd. Then we went to the bar and did appreciate there were games available for use and sports on the TV, catering to everyone. Prices were above average for quality received. The welcome book advises the bar closes at midnight however last round was called before 11pm, and the shutters were pulled at 11pm. This was quite disappointing. We did not pay for the breakfast. Would return if self catering with kids etc, but would not return to the restaurant.

Went as part of a Shearings Christmas Holiday break. First impressions, the hotel complex looks very modern and impressive. We were shown to our room / apartment. WOW it was vast , kitchen, lounge, dining and bedroom combined to make a fantastic experience! The whole block was very clean and our room was spotless. Great beds, great nights sleep, next doors plumbing was very loud in the morning, but we had to be up anyway. One strange thing, the was an overpowering smell of garlic in the bathroom after 8 pm? |The breakfasts were very good, plenty of choice self service buffet. However, the only letdown was the evening meals, first off, no vegetarian option. It was a strange choice of veg for a pensioner based trip , sweet potato/butternut squash, savoury rice, salad . Bar, lots of choices, beers, wine etc, reasonably priced.|All staff 10 / 10, very friendly ,very helpful.|Would I go again? Definitely.|Thanks for an enjoyable week!

We stayed in a ground floor studio suite with two primary school children and two adults for a long weekend. We were very pleasantly surprised by the accommodation. It's modern, spotless, very large room, sofa, dining table and full kitchen with oven, micro, dishwasher and washing machine. Beautiful and clean shower room. Very large, secure terrace looking out on to the fields and golf course. This is possible the nicest accommodation we have stayed in in the UK and so well equipped that we have been able to get food from the local M&S and eat in. We have had a drink in the bar and eaten at the restaurant. Reasonably priced and again really great food. Breakfast was perhaps a little less choice than other places (often more pastries/ waffles, fresh fruit) but what was provided was really well cooked and of good quality. We also arrived quite late for breakfast so possible they had just run out. All in all its a brilliant place and we hope to come again.

Do not make the same mistake as we did and AVOID this place…|||We decided to have a break in the Cotswolds for New Years, and we selected this hotel on price. The price was a lot cheaper than the other local hotels in the area… it’s a lot cheaper for a reason…||On arrival the bins at the entrance were overflown, with rubbish laying everywhere it looked like a dump yard. We drove in towards the carpark which was almost empty which I thought was strange as the hotel was supposed to be fully booked over the New Years period…||We proceeded into the hotel reception and what I can only describe is the VILEST smell I’ve ever experienced knocked us back. We queued to check in and when we got to the desk in the dinghy reception our room was not ready, so we were asked to go upstairs and wait. We had to use the lift which was like something from 1950 and felt very unsafe.||As soon as I we got upstairs the smell got worse, I can only describe this as a dog kennels which hadn’t been cleaned out in weeks absolutely disgusting. I had a hat over my face to help with the smell, but I was still gagging. My partner and I both looked at each other and said we cannot stay in this place; we left and went out to the car to try and find somewhere else to stay which thankfully we did over one of the busiest periods of the year. ||I called the hotel to let them know to cancel our reservation that we would not be staying for the two nights, and the reason why we would not be staying. They proceeded to tell me there was no smell. I asked for a refund, as this hotel is not fit for purpose, but they refused to give me money back… I will be escalating this matter further...||It’s a shame as this is a nice-looking hotel, in a good location but it has not been well looked after or cleaned…STAY CLEAR

Nice room. Shame the view was looking into the car park. We were there for two nights and checked in around 1am. The room was very warm so that was an extra bonus in winter. The bed was large and extremely comfortable. It's a short drive to Chipping Norton where we went to see a pantomime. Nice and relaxing stay.

I booked the hotel for a Family wake. |Lauren in events was very helpful when planning the event. |The ballroom area is lovely and the food was very good, a good selection of options, really well presented and very nice. The desserts especially everyone enjoyed. |Thank you to Raj for looking after us and making sure all was going well as this was a hard and upsetting day for the family.
