Great food, quick and professional service, value for money and very tasty

Used to eat from here loads, for nostalgia sake we went back tonight. The food was always great but quite underwhelmed today. My other half had chicken and lamb mixed starter, asked for no lamb, order was read back and the dish came with mostly lamb. Luckily it's a taste preference and not an allergy. Personally i dont digest onion so chose a dish that wasn't cooked with fresh onion, never seen so much onion in a masala ever before, might not seem much to most people but it can put me in hospital for days, not the way I want to start the new year. All in all, not the place for me, starter was great, couldn't eat the main. Service was great though, always friendly and timely

I ordered two takeaway dishes—chicken chilli bhuna and chicken and mushroom balti. Surprisingly, they looked nearly identical and tasted much the same, with the only difference seeming to be the addition of chillies in one and mushrooms in the other. Both were bland, lacking in flavour, and overall a real disappointment.

We wanted to try something a little different so we made plans to try the Indian food here. The prices seemed a little high while we were ordering but there were some options that seemed like they might be an interesting experience so we went for it. After we picked up the food and brought it home, we were immediately struck by the ungenerous portion sizes. The meal was £40 at full price but we did get the 20% collection discount. Even at the discounted price, there was barely enough for a single meal, let alone the leftovers that you'd expect from ordering a big Indian meal. For example, the starter (Amm Chicken) cost £6.95, and came with six small pieces of diced chicken. The sad thing is that it was probably the peak of the eating experience...on the rare bite that we tasted anything. Everything else was bland and samey, even though we ordered 'hot'. We ended the meal dissatisfied and felt like we had wasted our money.

The Coundon District nurses favorite and their loyal. Been coming here since 2008. Fresh Naan every time.
Did visit on a Saturday evening, packed. Food and naan are always fresh with taste. Very english.
