A very smart hotel. Room was a good size, with internet plugs next to the bed and a really nice walk in shower. The staff in all departments were exemplary and we received a really warm welcome at reception. Breakfast offered a good choice. Plenty of car parking space. If I had to find one thing to improve on, it would be the ‘ambiance’ in the public areas. The bar area is very bright and rather bland. The lighting needs to be adjustable, especially in the evening, to make it feel ‘warmer’ and somewhere you feel like relaxing in with a nice drink. The reception area, whilst nicely decorated, needs a touch more homeliness applied. It just feels a bit too bland and office like - a few plants or trees for example, and warm lighting to make it feel like somewhere you want to spend time, and not just rush off to hide in your room. ||Overall though, a lovely hotel with great staff. Id definitely stay there again and highly recommend it over other hotels locally in this price bracket

Ideally located for the Keele vet university but not close to any other facilities. Good standard hotel and excellent breakfast but the coffee shop is wanting in coffee quality, life and food availability as it’s linked to the hotel kitchen. Rooms are very nice but views are limited looking over the car park on one side but fields to the rear. Good value stop better than the motorway hotels. A few nice tea rooms and restaurants a short drive away.

This hotel was beautiful, the location was very ideal as we were visiting my sister and needed a place to stay. The courtyard was extremely attentive and the staff were lovely. The rooms are exceptionally clean and were exactly like the provided pictures. I recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in the area, we especially enjoyed the Starbucks located on the side of the hotel for our morning coffees, thank you !

This has now become our favourite place to stay with our dog. I had the accessible room which was perfect for my needs. The bed was extremely comfortable and easy for me to get in and out of. The bathroom had a low handwashing basin for wheelchair access. Mobility bars around the toilet and a walk in shower, the toilet higher than the normal standard one which again made life easier for me. The air conditioning made it even more pleasant for us. Our room was near the lift, which again made our stay more enjoyable. Our room had a small fridge, the usual tea and coffee facilities. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board. A lower peephole in the door for wheelchair users. Food was excellent, they know how to cook tomatoes! I’ve stayed at many hotels where the breakfast tomatoes are hard, cold and greasy. Not here, everything is cooked beautifully. I can particularly recommend the beef, the presentation of the food was worthy of any of the award winning restaurants. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t manage to get a photo of it. I did remember to take one of my breakfast though.
Staff extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Nice area to walk my dog with plenty of bins around to put her poop bags in.
I’m looking forward to staying here again.

Spent 1 night here, great location for university open days but price reflects it's a university open day! Had a one room with extra bed which was a couch pulled down which meant you couldn't get to the wardrobes and struggle to make tea as it's right at end of bed. The room has a central shower room which is made of glass with a film on it which isn't a success when you are sharing with a teenager as you can see right through it. Best thing was breakfast, it was fantastic.

This is our 2nd stay here (my daughter is at Keele Uni) and we weren’t disappointed. |Efficient check-in and staff were both friendly and professional.||On this occasion we brought with us our dog (Cockapoo) and this wasn’t a problem for the staff - they kindly setup a table away from the restaurant (in case other diners had an allergy to dogs) which was great. Nothing was too much trouble, a special shout out to Jonathan for going the extra mile.||It was -3 outside but the welcome we received was glowing and of course the hotel was lovely and warm!.||Room was great (as it was last time) & the bed super comfortable.||Thank you guys 👍, keep up the great work!

We stopped by to have a drink at the bar which was nice. The staff very friendly. The issue was the car park payment system. I couldn't get a signal to access the car park app online. It was very slow to connect when I did. Wasn't worth the hassle as we were only having a quick drink. It was 10 mins before I could access payment. Should be free if using the hotel bar etc. Or a payment meter that takes cash would be better. It was dark in the car park with not many people around so didn't feel safe.

We visited in winter. The duvet was thin, and even after turning up the heating in the room, it automatically turned itself down and didn't make the room any warmer. There were no additional duvets to add in the room. There were weirdly teeny pillows! which looked suitable for a cot rather than a bed. Bed ok, not super comfy.
Also no biscuits provided in the room! I thought this was a little stingy as this hotel is not a budget chain. Snacks are sold at reception, and they're expensive.
However, all was clean and stylish throughout the hotel, and staff friendly.
I would stay here again, but maybe take a hot water bottle and warmer pj's if it's in the winter.
Requested a twin, and got a twin rather than a double and a sofa bed, or the twin request not being honoured as has happened at other hotels. This is one of the reasons we're repeat guests at Courtyard Keele.
Fyi the room did have a fridge but this info isn't online (or if it is, I couldn't find it!). We'd wanted to buy some lunch for our subsequent day and store it overnight in the room, but we didn't as fridges aren't listed on the room deets and no-one picked up the phone when I called to enquire. So that was a little annoying.
