A great place to use as a base. The views are lovely overlooking Cowdray Ruins or the Golf Course. The rooms are well equipped, warm n cosy. |Although close to the road, it was not really noisy. The breakfast was varied and tasty. Several attractions close and many pubs and restaurants around the area in Midhurst

Lovely little room, and well presented although the matress had seen better days and could do with renewal. However as a whole we had a nice couple of days. ||We had trouble getting the key out of the lock box but managed after after about 10 minutes. ||The breakfast was lovely and tasty and the staff at the golf club especially the bar manager and India were very helpful and great hostesses. ||It was only a 5 minutes walk to the nearest pub but as we stayed on Monday and Tuesday the pub didn't serve food so we had to walk into town which was about 20 minutes to get food. The Indian the closest restaurant was absolutely great. ||I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

We travelled to Midhurst the day before visiting family in town. We stayed in the Polo Lodge which was a suite with bedroom, ensuite bathroom and comfortable sitting room, which overlooks the Cowdray ruins, meadow and South Downs beyond. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated. Both the lounge and bedroom has a TV and free WiFi. We had a Sunday carvery lunch on site, which was delicious. Staff are lovely and attentive, without being intrusive. We are looking forward to our cooked breakfast in the morning! There is a Golf Club on site and a Farm Shop a short drive away. A lovely getaway break thank you! There is also a local pub which sells food should you require an evening meal.

Stayed for 2 nights. Room very clean but a little tired now . Needs a paint . Room is lovely but very small. Bathroom unfortunately has a odour. I think may be on a septic tank.! Also the info you read states bath and shower .. misleading. No shower . Just a shower head in the bath. Breakfast very good. Great location

It was a lovely stay before our wedding day at the main house. The room was extremely hot though from the towel radiator in the bathroom which had no thermostat (literally a sauna) and an extremely over powering bad smell which we thought was damp but later realised it was the bathroom drain made worse by the heat in there. Sadly also woken up really early by Other guests talking and slamming doors early. The breakfast was amazing though and the staff really friendly.

We had a really lovely stay here in the Bothy for one night at the end of July. The check in was q breeze, there was a coded box at our door to retrieve the key easily.||The Bothy is really lovely, it was immaculately clean and smelt beautiful on entry. I was a little disappointed on entering our accommodation as the gorgeous French bed as pictured on the advertisements had disappeared. Instead there was a divan, but I have to say it was made to look very sumptuous with the ample large cushions and crisp linen. I have to say the bed was sooo comfy and absolutely huge we both slept so well!|My only other niggle with the stay was some bulbs were missing from the light fittings in our accommodation and the shower hose on the bath needed replacing as there was wear and tear.||Otherwise the roll top bath in our room was delightful, you could even watch the television from the bath which felt like a treat.||There was a lovely tea tray with a generous selection of Teas and coffee and a ready filled glass bottle of water which was a lovely touch.||The location of the Bothy I feel is very good. It's totally separate and self contained. There is a table and chairs out the front which was lovely for an evening glass of wine, this overlooks the polo fields and Midhurst Castle too. Yes the property is right by a busy road. But come the evening (Saturday) the road had quietened right down and I didn't hear a thing with the windows open, even being a noise sensitive sleeper. It's great to go for a walk by the polo grounds (track to cross road safely behind the golf lodge). The polo wasn't on during our weekend stay unfortunately but I can imagine it's such a special place to stay when the polo is on.||Breakfast was great also. My other half had the full English breakfast which he said was really good. I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast which was so generous I could not eat it all! A few nice continental goodies available too. There was a great atmosphere in the clubhouse for breakfast, it was a sunny morning and we sat by the open French doors. We could watch the golfers out early.||All in all it was such a dreamy stay and we'd stay here again in a heartbeat! I felt really well rested after our stay. I hope we can come back soon.

Stayed after a wedding at the estate expecting it to be at the venue, so we were surprised that it’s a 20 minute walk on a busy road and no pavements. Our fault for not checking! Really lovely rooms but very noisy main road: take earplugs if you want any sleep.

Our shower didn't have hot water. When we asked reception about it, they hung up the phone in the middle of the conversation. The desk told us we could just shower in the club house of the golf club. We didn't have the impression they cared at all.
