Cowes has many shops plus a harbour where you can take an informative boat tour and learn more about the history of the place. Not as scenic as some other parts of Isle of Wight, still pretty non the less.

Delightful to walk around the harbour looking at all of the boats belonging to the rich and famous. Nothing from the Russian Oligarchs on this occasion.

Marina is central and the town is quick to walk to.

The men's showers were spacious, however didn't look like they were being cleaned often. Also, the water pressure goes to almost zero if more than one person is showering.

Security is questionable, as there was nobody at the office when we arrived on Easter Sunday, and (possibly because of this) the gate was unlocked and open. There were a lot of security cameras, though.

The Sugar Store events venue is spacious, light, and has sea views over the Cowes Marina.
I had large business meeting with the Chamber of Commerce here, but it would be ideal for weddings and birthdays too.

They do their best to fit you in. See photo of boats rafted up five deep.

Just spent an overnight stay with our Bavaria 32. Easy to get to and berth, directed to berth on arrival. Water & electricity easy to connect. Close to town. Only downside was electricity failed at 2030hrs, no staff available, tried ringing emergency number, answer phone only, no response, power came back on around 0830 next morning, alas a tricky night balancing power consumption with fridge etc. Had a no quibble complete electricity refund for which was happy with. Talking with other boat owner who stated power outages are not unusual, however I cannot confirm this as this was our first call. Rgds Dave & Claire.

Peaceful area to spend the night on the boat, though can get a little noisy when the ferry is unloading across the river. Shower and toilet facilities were spacious and clean, and it's only a short walk to shops and restaurants. Was very busy when we were there due to an event going on, but it that didn't ruin our overnight stay.
