Run Down from the outside and no difference inside.
The place needs major refurbishment and heating.
On entering it was very cold and unwelcoming.
We were shown upstairs which was marginally warmer.
Everything seems to be done by one guy.
The restaurant does not stock spirits and just house wine and a couple of beers.
One of our party had red wine that was served straight from the fridge.
The food was ok
We were the only people eating in the restaurant, so absolutely no atmosphere.
Our meal came to £109 we paid £120 in cash and didn't even get offered the change.

Could be a nice restaurant but needs major improvements on all fronts.

Cowfold cottage is the best Indian food in the area (not that it’s hard to beat the rest) but the problem is that they forget part of the order literally every single time, it’s like they do it on purpose, we have a simple order of 5 items and every single time (literally) they would forget one item at random no matter what it is or what you say when you place the order. We stopped ordering from them and went elsewhere for a year or so, first order back tonight and same issue as part of the order is missing. In their defence, they then came and delivered the missing item and gave a refund and that tempted me not to post this, but on reflection I still think it’s a fair review, food is great but literally every single time they have a weird quirk of leaving off one of the items, it’s very bizarre, no matter what you say or order you will be minus 1 item.

I often order takeaway from here and recently dined in for the first time.
The food was as ever delicious, service friendly and professional so the evening was a delight
We ate upstairs which was lovely and warm.

What an amazing evening !!! As someone with a nut allergy this place is amazing!! Nut free menu means I could have anything I wanted. Family loved it too we a very tasty dinner. Thank you

Looks shabby from outside and marginally better inside but what counts is the food which is great. I call in most Sundays on my way home for a takeaway. I get two different curries mix them together at home have one then and the second microwaved on Monday. Strange but true the Monday one tastes even better.

Had a lovely meal off there £14-95 menu and it was beautiful cooked and more then enough that we still had spare to take home. Tonight we had a take away delivered ive lived in the village 6 years and feel I've missed out in not eating from here.

Order 3 curry’s and some other bits, I was told that it will be an hour at most, after an hour and a half I called and all they said on the phone is “we are very busy in the kitchen, it will be 10-15 minutes”. 2 and a half hours later it finally came. The food was okay.

We were staying nearby in a rented cottage for a few days as a family of 10 (grandparents & inlaws)
We ordered some food from here as a takeaway for my wifes birthday meal. - It was excellent. We ordered several maons which came with rice plus a selection of vegetable side dishes
There was loads of food - all of which was hot and delicious. As we collected we got a discount too and it worked out fantastic value.

Totally excellent value and quality - good enough that i felt compelled to leave a review.

They deserve to do well + a quality business providing quality food at great valie prices.
