We stayed for two wonderful weeks at the Coylumbridge Highland Lodges. The lodges are located in an idyllic position within a short walking distance of beautiful forest, lake and mountain trails. |There’s so much to do in this area - walking, biking, adventure activities, swimming both wild and in pools and visiting local attractions.|The lodges are really comfortable. They are spacious, clean and very well resourced. |We had great sleeps in beautifully comfortable beds looking out into the forest and over the river Spey.|The kitchen enabled us to cook similar to how we would at home and for those days we didn’t want to cook there were many good restaurants nearby. |The use of the swimming pool in the nearby Coylumbridge hotel is a great asset. Really clean and well maintained the two pools (one children’s pool with chute), sauna and changing rooms are a very pleasant environment for a very relaxing time during the vacation.|A brilliant holiday - we certainly plan to make this location a regular location for our holidays.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in and check out were handled very efficiently. The two-bedroomed alpine lodge number 14 that we had was cosy and very tastefully furnished. The lodge had a washer dryer, dishwasher and satellite TV and a well equipped kitchen with sufficient cutlery, crockery and utensils. The beds were very comfortable. Electricity cost us GBP 25.07 for 6 days which is very reasonable considering it was a cold week with peak temperatures of around 11 to 13 degrees Celcius. I had enjoyable and very comfortable stay.

Fantastic, friendly staff, with great 'can do' attitude.

The rooms ( hotel presently being rewired) are airy, but slightly dated. As an example, they don't have any USB connection plugs, which if you are on business, could be an issue.

Great family, holiday break property, in a beautiful location.

Good catering and value for money breakfasts.

We have recently returned from our four night stay at this hotel as part of a coach tour. Our room was okay but there was nowhere to put anything in the bathroom and we did not have any housekeeping for the four days. I didn't read the info they gave us when we arrived so i was expecting our room to be serviced when we got back from our days out. I have never experienced this before when staying in a hotel. I didn't know what to do with my rubbish and i had to ask for a toilet roll at reception and walk through the hotel with it. Not acceptable in a four star hotel. The other issue is that the menu is basically the same every day with a couple of changes on the fish or once there was a vegetarian curry! Every day there was mash, boiled or roasted and rice then a choice of meats (I'm vegetarian), a very plain pasta and tiny pieces of fish with a tiny splash of sauce if you are lucky! Dessert was always the same: Chef's choice of cake with custard or sauce. Basically a variety of gateaux every single day. I know they are dealing with a lot of people but surely the 'chef' could do better. They charged £25.50 for anyone who had to pay. When we were there a new waitress was causing a bad atmosphere between the other waiters as she was very argumentative and impossible to work with. It was awful for the guests to witness. The waiters and bar staff were all lovely and good at their jobs which was the best thing about this hotel. A good tip is to have bar meals. They looked very nice.

The lodge we had had a well-equipped kitchen which was more than adequate for holiday cooking. The beds were comfortable, especially the pillows! The living room was quite spacious. TV has SkyTV but not the Sports channels - slight disappointment. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s about a 30 mins walk into Aviemore town centre so a car is useful. Loch an Eilein and Loch Morlich are nearby and golf is almost in town at the Spey Valley Championship Course. Overall has an enjoyable stay and would definitely return.

We were very happy with our one night stay here. A great situation for us to explore a lot of what the local area has to offer.we took bikes & we really appreciated the secure storage shed.|The hotel is exceptionally clean. The pool, communal, comfortable foyer & seating area & dining room could not be faulted. Similarly the bedroom/bathroom was faultless. We’d booked the cheapest room available (which was small & next time we would upgrade) but the carpets, curtains & bathroom were very tasteful and of good quality.|We enjoyed the dining buffet & breakfast. The fresh food was very much appreciated & the staff were super. We will definitely return.

All good. Stunning location and great service. Room was too warm and unable to open window without going to reception which was a hassle because it’s frequently busy. Great walks to be had nearby. Very peaceful.

We are not staying in the Coylumbridge hotel so I can’t give an opinion on bedrooms however we have visited this week while staying in a lodge and found the foyer area bright, comfortable, clean and very welcoming. The bar offers a good range of good value alcoholic and soft drinks.||The swimming pool is exceptionally good. The changing rooms are really clean and the facilities very well thought out. The pool and sauna are spotlessly clean and offer an extremely pleasant swimming and leisure space with a children’s pool with slide and a good sized swimming pool. The leisure staff are superb!||The staff throughout the hotel are really pleasant, friendly and helpful .||We decided to go to the buffet tonight for our evening meal and the meal was extremely good value for the £25pp charged . It included a good salad bar, soup station, and a variety of hot dishes, including a roast, casserole, vegan option, pasta and fish. There was also a variety of gateaux for desert. In fact, it was a great meal after a day out walking in the beautiful mountain and forest scenery on the doorstep of the hotel. Well worth a try to enjoy good food in a relaxed environment. You won’t come away hungry.
