Stayed here last night, lovely place, very old fashioned (in a good way) run by Brian and Aileen although we didn't get to meet Aileen I think she cooked the breakfast which was lovely. Room was very large with huge, comfy bed more than worth the cost. Tbh I cant find a single bad thing to say about this place.... this will be our new go to whenever we're down south.

Owners away at time of our overnight stay, so key safe. No breakfast. Bed very comfortable, toom nicely warm, bathroom good size, all clean. For the price extremely good value.

It’s fine. We stayed for a night whilst visiting for a wedding. Didn’t opt for breakfast but the room was clean and well presented.

Would I stay again if I needed a place in the area? Probably.

Would I rush back without thinking about other options? Probably not.

Stayed here an overnight as I had a job nearby. Due to travelling I was due to arrive very late in the evening. Owner made this very easy and set everything up for me on arrival. Lovely inside and out, and lovely surroundings, also. Cranston house itself was perfect. Very clean and comfortable. Great place to stay at a great price. Highly recommend. Sadly, I didn't get to meet the owner as I was up very early, but they were so lovely on the phone and couldn't have been more helpful.

We travelled up from Cornwall for a hospital appointment the next day. We were quite late, but were warmly welcomed. Our room was everything we hoped for. A large comfortable bed, pleasantly decorated room with all the little touches and attention to detail that did the owners credit. Neat, tidy and clean with an ensuite bathroom that was warm and the shower was hot! The road is quiet and in very easy walking distance of the town centre with loads of restaurants to choose from. The best review we can give is that we are back to stay for two nights next month.

We arrived Friday afternoon for a two night stay, firstly we was pleased to have onsite parking and not have to park on the street, that’s a big plus factor for us. Owner wasn’t present upon checking in which was fine for us, they left special instructions for us via email to enter to obtain the key and entered into the warm house stress free. |The Room was lovely and clean, heating was on, it didn’t take too long to warm the large room. Lovely chocolates left on towels and an informative booklet packed with plenty of information on the local area, amenities and places to visit. A perfectly situated stay to branch off and visit local towns as we did. ||We Would happily recommend this place and we’d stay definitely here again. Our room was well priced and equipped with everything you’d need especially if you’d forgotten something. |We didn’t opt in for breakfast however it’s a nice bonus if you get there and choose to opt in and book the breakfast. (A good choice on the menu)||Thanks for a smooth stay.

Very enjoyable 3 night stay. Incredibly comfortable king size bed, good hanging space for clothes, iron on request, and lovely shower. We didn't have breakfast but would imagine if it's on par with the hotel and service, you won't be disappointed
