The view from the room was amazing, and the bed was very comfortable! The room was quite spacious as well. Location was great, next to Loch Fyne Hotel for dining, and a short walk to the town center. However, there were a few things that I want to note so future travelers are aware. The room I booked was the SUPERIOR DOUBLE, which per previous pictures showed two beds. It's since been redone and only has one queen bed plus seating. Also, the bathroom is en-suite, but NOT private. The walls to the bathroom are frosted glass but still very see-through. Perhaps OK if you're traveling with a spouse, but not with friends or family. Also, there are no common areas here for lounging - only your room.

Self-check in hotel, good location though we initially found driveway difficult to locate. Clean room, but poor shower in our room (5). Okay, for an overnight stay, but we felt it was overpriced for the facilities provided.

First let me say Crawford and Janice do a very nice job of managing their bed and breakfast. What you need to do when you arrive is close your eyes when you first pull up. The outside needs some maintenance, clean up, and they should close the garage door. Everything could be fixed with a good cut of the grass and trimming, fresh paint on the patio furniture, and a tidy up in general. Once you walk through the front door, it is a very warm and inviting home. Crawford checked us in and showed us to our room which was Room 1 at the top of the stairs. Our room was very large, inviting, comfortable, with beautiful furnishings and a lovely view of the lake. It was immaculate clean. Our bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's rest. Janice greeted us the next morning with a hot and delicious breakfast in the beautiful dining room and it began with a tasty granola fruit cup. Parking is tight and there are steep steps to the upstairs. We would stay here again.

Stayed for 2 nights & have to say Inveraray is a beautiful place|The room was quite small & I would have liked a loch view, the fan in the bathroom made a loud noise when switched on & the shower caddy was rusty|The room could do with a refresh to be honest but the bed was comfortable & the linen & towels clean & fresh|The host, Crawford, was very friendly without being intrusive & very knowledgeble about the area|All in all I enjoyed our stay & would stay again

I am a bit remiss in taking so long to write my review of this wonderful stay in June 2024 at the Creag Dhubh Country House. We had a very warm welcome from Janice, our hostesses and owner. This was our first time to Scotland and what a wonderful experience staying here. The house is situated in a wonderful location in Inveraray, overlooking Loch Flynn. The location was perfect, with a delightful 10 minute scenic walk along Loch Flynn into the heart of the sweet historic town and only 15 minute walk to Inveraray Castle . We never needed to get in our car for the two nights we stayed and it was safely parked up the driveway, in front of the house for the duration. After a really comfortable nights sleep in our lovely room, I enjoyed a scrumptious English cup of tea in bed as I watch the light on the picturesque Loch Flynn which was constantly changing and mesmerizing views from our window. Our start to the day was topped with Janice’s delicious full option breakfast, my husband having the full Scottish breakfast and me opting for delicious bowl of porridge, which set us up for the day. The room was large with comfy chairs looking at the picturesque view. The bathroom was large and well appointed with a shower. Many thanks again to the kind and wonderful Janice who went above and beyond and had absolutely terrific recommendations for dining in town!

We had a lovely stay at this property situated overlooking the loch a short walk from the centre of Inverary. Room was comfortable with everything you needed for a good nights stay. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful and there was ample parking off road. Would visit again!

I just returned from a two night stay at this wonderful B&B. The rooms were lovely and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. I must also say how fabulous a host Janice was. She went over and above to make sure my stay with my elderly parents was perfect. I am now about to head back to Australia but will definitely return to stay here again. Our trip was so memorable, thank you Janice.
