After a last minute booking, I got a rear upstairs double room with fabulous views over fields and horses. My host, Linda, was extremely helpful. The en-suite room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, with tea/coffee making facilities, free wi-fi, flatscreen TV and black-out curtains. An expansive breakfast menu caters to any tastes - I indulged in the huge Full English breakfast. Plenty of parking. I have already recommended this to friends.

Cheerful welcoming hosts, comfy twin room, easy safe parking and great breakfast with view of the horses in fields. A particularly memorable stay and we will definitely stay again when exploring the nearby coast, Emsworth, Hayling Island and Chichester.

We travel like the breeze...we never know where we'll be in two days. We usually book half a day ahead based on price and whether or not I feel like a good soak in a bath! I really hate detailed itineraries!!||So I didn't need to soak this night and based on cost we chose Cripple Creek. If you can't do stairs ask for a ground floor room. Parking is close to the room.||For a budget room it was pretty good - much quieter than the previous two!! It was clean, had a great view of horse paddocks and the extensive vege garden. Ventilation was great too. We appreciate an airy room. And Tim and Sophie our hosts were friendly and informative.||Breakfast was excellent. A well presented menu, full table service, full English breakfast with all the trimmings and vegetarian options. Delicious! Thanks Sophie!||The decor is pleasant but basic. The bed was a little less comfortable than some and only one pillow each. But all was clean, good TV and tea making facilities.||So we got a safe clean room plus breakfast for a budget price. Great!||Whilst there we drove to Compton, a gorgeous Sussex village with tea rooms. We lucked out and attended the charming church fete. Very Midsomer Murders. The pub here is a really character filled one.||We drove on to Uppark, a National Trust house with lovely gardens and an amazing doll house collection. HG Wells spent time here as his mother was a staff member. We saw wild pheasants and it was a lovely drive.||There are many beautiful forest walks available in the area of varying fitness requirement.

Friendly owners, nice location. Only thing stopping me giving 5 stars were the amount of spiders in the room! 38 one day and a further 26 the following week. I would gladly stay here again and thank Linda and Tim for their kindness towards us.

This is a very basic accommodation, definitely not for a romantic weekend ! We stayed on the ground floor in a room with aging carpet and decor with no particular style; the bed was comfy enough and the sheets clean and the welcome was warm, breakfast plentiful and of a reasonable standard but everything just felt, well ... old and tatty. Only upon settling the bill were we told we could have paid a lot less had we called direct becuase apparently the online system shows they are full or one room left when in fact that is not the case and the various online booking agents they use charge around 20-30% extra ! I have since tried to rebook direct but could not get an answer on the phone.

The room was basic but had everything that we needed. The balcony outside the dining room was ideal for me to sneak out for a crafty cigarette! The garden was lovely. Will definitely stay here again if we need to.
