I highly recommend this B&B. Sally is a very friendly and helpful host. Her food is excellent. We had some delicious meals. I particularly enjoyed the quiche (so light and fluffy) and the fruit crumble. We (three couples) stayed for the weekend and made excellent use of the comfortable sitting room. Rather quirky furnishings. Just lovely.

The other reviews here are not overstated. Sally, Robin and helpers do a fantastic job of making sure you feel welcome and comfortable. The house and surrounding grounds are beautiful and we felt at home immediately. |My purpose for this visit was to walk in the footsteps of some of my ancestors. Crow Leasow was centrally located for us, close to Ludlow and many other places of interest. Sally has a superb knowledge of the area with lots of great suggestions. She even arranged for us to attend a neighborhood picnic where some of my ancestors used to live. Some of the Church Elders were familiar with our family name, which is a rare one, but told me there were no current residents about.|We originally booked three nights but extended our stay one more night because we were so comfortable here. We had been on the road for two week when we arrived. Kind of burned out on restaurant food. We did two dinners with Sally and told ourselves when we return, we will probably see if we can do all our dinners here. Excellent cook.|There are three dogs and a cat, all very friendly. Once the initial meet and greet with them is over they pretty much just hang out nearby, unless you decide to show them some love.|You will love this place too.||

Just finished our stay here and could not have had a better experience. Sally is great at making you feel welcome. Her meals were one of the highlights, especially after two weeks on the road of restaurants. Comfortable beds, clean rooms and a cool 400 year old house.
Very convenient to Ludlow. Sally’s knowledge of the area was very helpful in exploring our ancestral stomping grounds.
They do have three friendly dogs and a cat and once the initial meet and greet is over, they pretty much keep to themselves.
We are sure you will enjoy your stay here as much as we did.

We have just returned home after a wonderful three days spent with Sally, at Crow Leasow.||It's hard to know where to start: On arrival our car was escorted along the drive by Sally's small, super friendly dogs (we are not doggy people, but they popped up now and again to say hello; they live in the other half of the house), and we were treated on arrival to the warmest welcome, usually afforded to an old friend or family member. This welcome and kindness continued throughout our stay.||CL: Crow Leasow is an old, well maintained Georgian country house, with ticking grandfather clock, antiques, paintings and log fires; always warm and not draughty. It is not a dusty, tired old pile, but a well furnished and looked after home, that we shared. Every room, corner or landing spoke quality. If you don't love old country oak, this isn't for you. Above all, the house is quiet and relaxing....leave your phone, pc in your case...and step back a few years.||Food: We had breakfast and evening meals in a classy, atmospheric dining room. |The wide choice for breakfast was selected the night before and the food was beautifully cooked/prepared and served by our hard working hostess. Watch out for the polished domes, on the butler tray that is. I opted for the Full Ludlow..everything was fresh and delicious.|Sally prepared two evening meals, which were absolutely top notch, restaurant standard. She must have been trained as a chef or Cordon Bleu, early in her life. You drink your own wine and there's a decent sized fridge to keep your GnTs in, or butcher purchases to take home. ||Room: We stayed in the four poster room, which had a super soft bed and very tasteful furnishings, including rich lined curtains. The shower ensuite was better than ours at home.||What did we do: CL is an excellent base to explore Shropshire. Sally phoned and even gave us excellent suggestions for our jorney down from the Wirral..viewpoints, upland drives and pubs to stop in. |We visited Ludlow and walked in the Reserve, across the River, and spent a day visiting Croft Castle, Leominister and the Black and White Villages circular route.|Sally is a mine of information, about....everything; shops, cafes, pubs, food, people, short cuts, car parking..you name it.||Evening out: We went to the French Pantry in Ludlow, which served authentic French cooked dishes. I had a boulliabase starter and cassoulet main: so much (and delicious) I couldn't move. The wine list covered all pairings, and was surprisingly inexpensive. Sally helped provide a contact for taxis...TJs took us and picked us up, spot on time. ||Finally: It rained most of the time we were there, but it didn't matter. We've come home with great memories and a determination to go again.|If your idea of a holiday is computer games, large tv screens, hot tubs and water parks...give Crow Leasow a miss.|||

Crow Leasow is a very special place indeed, surrounded by beautiful, gently rolling countryside in a peaceful location, where you are warmly welcomed by Sally and her three very friendly dogs, who instantly make you feel right at home. Such is the friendly, laid back feel, that relaxing is easy, and the hurly burly of the daily grind instantly forgotten! Tasteful antiques and art filled interiors, spacious bedrooms, fresh flowers from Sally's lovely garden, and lots of fascinating coffee table books fill the house.
Sally is also an excellent cook, all dishes beautifully presented, great choice of delicious meals for breakfast, and especially good for those who prefer something other than the full english. We also enjoyed a scrumptious candlelit evening meal on our arrival, which for us was perfect after a tiring journey. Sally is a perfect hostess, always happy to give advice and answer queries on Ludlow, the locale, and eating out.
Nearby Ludlow, a charming medieval town, is a short drive away, with a good selection of places to eat, where the locals go wild swimming in the idyllic river, where you can go walking in nearby woods with fabulous views of the countryside. There is lots to see and do in the surrounding area, including the incredible Powis Castle in Welshpool, a must for garden lovers! Gail B , Yorkshire.

Everything about our stay at Crow Leasow was fantastic. Sally is an amazing host: knowledgeable about the area, helpful on anything we needed, and she made us feel very welcome. The setting around the farmhouse is beautiful with picturesque walks just out the front door. The breakfasts were all perfect (we had dinner one night as well which was delicious). As dog owners, we loved the dog-friendly policy and our dog had a wonderful time too!

The B&B is part of a beautiful house decorated with antiques. It is owned and managed by a couple with a glorious heart.||||We loved our gorgeous bedroom, the fireplaces around the house that always had a crackling fire going, the friendly animals (you have to love cats and dogs to stay here), the amazing views from our room and from everywhere else in the house and your truly delicious food!||||Sally and her husband are great hosts that really aim to please and please they do! We were very spoiled and had a wonderful weekend.

Nothing was too much trouble for Sally. She obliged in every way to make us welcome and respond thoughtfully to our unfamiliarity with the area's remarkable beauty and history. She enthused and cajoled us to explore and walk which we did with immense pleasure. Altogether, taken with sublime fresh, wholesome, and local food as well as a divine room - cum home - we luxuriated in a foretaste of heaven.
