Lovely meal after a long drive. Friendly chatty staff.
We booked a room through the marstons page and it said 20% off food. We didn't get any email after we booked but the guy honoured it.

Food was well presented. Nice kids options.

Walked to here from the truck stop, well worth the walk staff very pleasant food excellent and a nice clean pub with a very warm atmosphere, made to feel very welcome. Came here because the swan opposite the truck stop refused to do food at 19.55 on a Monday night. Thank you to the staff at the crown you've got my custom in future and will recommend you to other drivers,

Nicely set out pub & hotel. Breakfast was great but meals were poor. We paid over £90 for 2 adults & 4 kids to eat. Food was well overdone. It looked like they had been cooked too long or oil hadn’t been changed. Both waffles & chicken nuggets were dark brown. Bread on the burgers looked over toasted also. Staff were great. Served us well. But downstairs rooms smelled of mould masked with air fresheners.

The meal was exceptional everyone said how good the food was. The staff were all happy and nothing was to much trouble it was really busy but nobody had to wait, the atmosphere of the place was like home from home. We hadn't been before but we definitely will be returning,I've recommended to all my family and friends.
I would like to wish all the staff a very happy Christmas and we will see them in the new year.

Lovely breakfast with Santa! Santa was good, really interactive with all the kids. Breakfast was nice too! Very accessible for wheelchair users with no problem at all. All staff were accommodating! Thank you for a great morning!

Really nice place, food was excellent and the new decor is lovely. We chose here because their vegetarian choice was the best in the area, the non vegetarians in the group also had a lot of dishes to choose from. The service was great, the staff were friendly and the food was lovely. Next time we are in the area we will be back.

Superb stay, we had a family room.
The staff are absolutely 💯 superb, Chloe checked us in and made our stay very enjoyable.
The rooms were lovely, spacious, clean, and very well equipped with tea making facilities and TV, clean, fresh, and well equipped en suite.
The restaurant attached served an absolutely excellent breakfast.
The menu had something for everyone. The secret garden and outside front seating were ideal with a pitcher of cocktails in the warm summer evenings, nicely busy, lovely decor, and a family-friendly place.

We used this pub before Christmas for a family meal. We found out it was dog-friendly, which was great for us as we could take our new puppy with us. The food was very good and the service and atmosphere were great. They even had a menu for the dog which we all found amusing, so Marvin got a treat as well.
