Really super hotel on the outskirts of Marlow on Thames.
The hotel has great car parking and well maintained grounds.
First impressions are good and the reception staff were very welcoming.
Our room was clean and tidy and well furnished. The only slight negative was that the hair dryer is fixed and the mirror is not nearby.
The ground floor room was very comfortable (34), and the housekeeping service was definitely a positive experience with a very polite gentleman undertaking the cleaning/room maintenance service.
The menu offered in the large bright dining room was also very interesting, with a range of both Indian and European dishes.
Breakfast is good, and there are plenty of items to choose from (If your room rate doesn't include breakfast, book a place by 10pm the day before to receive a discounted price).
There is a spa and gym on site, and the grounds are well maintained and very pleasant.
As we were visiting some friends nearby we didn't use all of the hotel facilities but plan to return at a later date to have a proper hotel and spa stay.
The bar and lounge are also very nice places to have a relaxing drink.
We understand that there is a Club Lounge, but it was being refurbished when we visited (Early October 2024)

Overall very enjoyable stay, I had a deal through Virgin Experience Days which was excellent value and included spa treatments. Facilities are nice and not too crowded despite it being Friday night. The bed was large and comfortable and the room was clean. Large bathtub was a nice addition.

I was slightly disappointed by the portion sizes at dinner (British menu) but the food was high quality and cooked well.

Spa therapists are nice and the treatments are reasonably priced, I certainly recommend the massages.

Booked up a spa weekend package for two and the location is brilliant, and Betty the masseuse was absolutely amazing is the first thing to say! Please give her a raise, in fact all the staff are clearly working above and beyond at this hotel.

But now we come to the downsides… the rooms are lovely inside… but from the entry to the hotel to the door of your room everything else is dated and falling apart. When I visited last year I noted the floor number indicator in the main lift was broken and had fallen back on itself and months later what should be a simple fix still wasn’t sorted! And it’s like this throughout the hotel with things feeling like they need a deep clean as they are dated. As for the spa it’s been massively oversold the hotel has hundreds of rooms, and spa packages are being sold yet there are only 12 yes 12 loungers around the fairly tiny pool!!

It’s time to renovate or stop selling spa packages as much as it’s too busy for the size of the pool. What should have been a relaxing weekend ends up you awkwardly standing around the pool hoping in vain to find a space! The massage and food was lovely (again thanks to Betty) but here the staff are doing great and it’s the owners/management letting the hotel down… it’s a great location and could be brilliant… but you need to invest and enlarge the pool area if you are going to focus on spa weekends as your business model for weekends.

We travelled down from Leeds (sadly for a funeral) - just short of 195 miles each way. We stayed for 4 nights - the hotel was impressive - very clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly polite and courteous. I would like to mention Bridget in particular who was very compassionate to our sad circumstances - she took time out to be sympathetic - it was very much appreciated !||A very good hotel - just a shame that 195 miles away||thank you to all of the staff and the hotel - made a difficult experience bearable.

We went to the Crown Plaza as part of our mini moon, the receptionist was ace! He was so helpful and gave us a late checkout! He recommended some places to eat as well as giving us the option to eat in the hotel - which we did. The food was good, and was a good range of both English and Indian set menus. The only thing I would say were the chips were undercooked for my liking. I did also say to the waiter about it and my steak not tasting quite right to be told that it was fine and I was made to feel like I was making it up.
The bedroom was lovely and big but did have a hint of smoke smell to it.
We had 2×25 minute treatments that they kindly made into one treatment for me. I came out quite disappointed from it as the lady doing the massage kept stopping and washing her hands. This was not very relaxing at all. She also kept putting the air-conditioning on which made the room very cold at times. The spa facilities were spot on but I would say there needs to be a sign near the jacuzzi to say the bubbles come on by themselves as this was not clear and I know a lot of other people questioned this too.
The scenery of the hotel was lovely and was relaxing to sit and watch the world go by.

My partner and I came here in December 2023 and this week in August 2024. In both our stays we were pleasantly surprised by how lovely the hotel was with spacious rooms and good spa facilities. On both occasions the staff have been so friendly with great customer service. On both occasions we had food from the bar and the dinner at the restaurant which was included with our voucher. However our experience with the food was different the second time. The first time the food from both was 10/10 and we are fussy eaters! My partner is a chef. On this occasion the bar food we had for lunch tasted cheap. The Indian menu from the restaurant was delicious on both occasions but the food from their contemporary menu was not as good and oily. We also had a gorgeous dessert the first time and this time a dessert that was nowhere near as good. Overall, we were pleased with everything about the hotel and staff but as foodies, we were looking forward to some of the great food we had the first time that wasn't of the same quality this time. I'd still recommend for a relaxing spa weekend.

The welcome my wife and I had at the reception was great, sweet and refreshing. The ambiance, serenity, cleanliness of the hotel and our room was superb. We really get the genuiness of the politeness of the all staff members that we came across. Kudos to you guy. We plan to come here again.

Crowne Plaza Marlow is our home away from home. We have stayed at this hotel at least five times. We have enjoyed many breakfasts in the lovely terrace overlooking the lake. I was delighted to learn gluten free porridge is on offer if you let the team know. (Thanks to the amazing Marshall and his team for cream with our coffee!). Karim at the front desk is also one of the best in reception you’ll find anywhere. The rooms are comfortable and housekeeping is great. We have enjoyed meals in Agua Lounge after a long day walking the countryside. You'll find your way to the Thames Path just off the parking lot. The saunas, and hot tub are wonderful amenities after a day of adventure. A delightful, quiet place to stay - yet close to the High Street. The roses in the spring welcome everyone with their perfume.
