I stayed here with a group of four for one night. We had a nice gentleman showing us the way to the room, a simple room. It had 2 fans, a coffee and tea station, a hairdryer, and a fridge. The bathroom was equipped with a shower, toilet, and sink. There were towels available. It was fine for a night, but for a long stay, it isn't ideal. (The pictures are taken after we stayed.)

Stayed at the Croxdale Inn for a couple of nights when in the area for business. The owner is a nice fella who works very hard to run the three elements of the Croxdale Inn (accomodation, restaurant and bar). Room was basic but clean and tidy and had everything you need in a hotel room really. Each night I had a fantastic meal (probably the best Indian food I have ever had) and a couple of pints downstairs. Absolutely nothing to moan about for the price and would definitely visit again.

Absolutely horrendous stay ! Definitely avoid if have young family aswell, we stayed in the double bedroom. Upon arriving there was no one around so had to enter main building with restruant and call out to see if anyone was around so we could get the key to room, we was told it had just been cleaned!!! As soon as we entering the room had a musky smell.|We found large patch of black mould above bathroom window, the shower was incredibly slippery with no slip matts which was dangerous to adults and kids, the lock on the bathroom door has snapped so there was a incredibly sharp piece of metal sticking out which sliced my partners arm open!! |The kettle to use for tea and coffee was nicotine stained yellow.|The TV remote had crusty white and brown stuff all over it|The cobwebs practically made a chandler in the room they was that big, stained sheets on the bed, incredibly loud neighbours and staff banging and slamming doors which scared the kids !|We left early in our stay due to the kids being scared of shouting and loud banging plus after finding out from local family members that the place had a very bad reputation and felt like we was staying in a hostel...... avoid !!!

Recently stayed here as a base to visit Durham after realising the cost of hotels in the actual city was ridiculous.
The rooms are basic but spotless with the usual tea and coffee making facilities and had on-suite facilities.
Unusually for a pub B&B this was was also an Indian restaurant, I had perhaps the best curry I've had in some time. In an Idian restaurant I've never visited I often get the biryani as it's difficult to ruin. Not only was this a really good biryani it was also the biggest portion I've ever seen.
Highly recommend the B&B and the restaurant.

Perfect stay with my daughter. We stayed 2 nights, the room had everyrhing, shampoo, conditioner, tea and coffee. The room was spacious with a nice clean bathroom.|We were out all day and came back to the room cleaned and tidied which was lovely. At only £55 a night this was way more then we expected.|The owners even offered to help us take our luggage upstairs and were very friendly and welcoming.|We will 100 percent stay here again.|Also there is a tesco and Lidl only a very short drive away.

Needed a place to stop as ferrying our daughter to a friends house in Spennymoor. Wanted somewhere close, not too expensive. The reviews were good. The welcome was friendly. The rooms are basic, miss matched decor, but very clean and a comfortable bed. The bar is spacious, if not a little cold for me. We ate in the bar with food from the restaurant with was lovely indian fair. Staff very accommodating at all times. We stayed 2 nights. Only a short drive to Durham.
