What a lovely hotel. Olde worlde but with modern finishing. Stayed 2 nights in a spotless room with a super comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious served by the friendliest staff. Had dinner in the restaurant on the first night and it was also delicious. Helen the duty manager is lovely, all the staff were warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Penistone.

Beautiful location with fantastic views. I stayed for one night due to business and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The room was small but adequate and very comfortable. The food (I had a pizza) was basic but tasty and fresh. I left too early for breakfast and the chef made me a takeaway bacon bap which was the best I have ever tasted! Many thanks to all staff including the young man that helped when I first arrived (sorry I did not get your name).

I met a friend here for lunch today and was impressed. The venue and location is beautiful. The food was good with lots of choice, and reasonably priced, and all the staff were welcoming and efficient. I will definitely be back soon.

Had our wedding here. Sandra was great - took the stress away from us and made our day run smoothly. The food was beautifully presented and tasty. The views and surrounding grounds are amazing and we had some lovely photographs taken. Would highly recommend.

Stayed here for two nights for a wedding and I can't wait to come back! The room we had was lovely and big, good sized bath. Very clean rooms and the black out curtains were great. The grounds of the hotel and views were breathtaking! Honestly waking up to the view outside the back of the hotel was amazing. The food was soo good! I'm vegan and the options were great. Breakfast was soo good, they have milk alternatives, and dairy free butter. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. I honestly can't wait to come back to stay here again.

Stayed here Aug 7th 2024 and really enjoyed it. I had a small double room as was travelling alone and it was very comfy, had everything you would need for an overnight stay. Had an evening meal & desert which was delicious and also had the breakfast which was again substantial and tasty. Would definitely stay here again.

This lovely old hall has bags of character but all the amenities you would hope for in a hotel. It has a comfortable,lived- in atmosphere and indeed the owner showed us around and shared the history of the hall; he is clearly proud to be, in his words, the custodian.|Our on-suite room ( no.9) was a little smaller than I expected but was cosy and spotlessly clean, with good Wifi, a TV and coffee making facilities. We had a fabulous view of the garden and countryside beyond.|The staff were welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed a splendid Yorkshire breakfast. Thank you to all.|
