From the moment we arrived sarah made us feel very much at home and giving us the guided tour. We had the double room upstairs and it had everything we reuiqred for an overnight stay for a wedding at nearby Beaumanor Hall. The bathroom is huge and bright and the towels are amazing if not perhaps a little bit too heavy. The toiletries are a nice touch. The standard of cleansliness is very high.||The breakfast was lovely with a small pot of fresh fruit to start with fruit uice and then a traditional english breakfast with a choice off eggs. The eggs come from Sarah's own chickens and were delicious scrambled, The food was a great standard. Would definitely stay again.

We had a very pleasant one night stay in this lovely little B &B in Woodhouse Eaves. Our upstairs room was very stylishly decorated with a huge bathroom and top quality toiletries. The wifi was good and strong.||||There is a small kitchen downstairs (shared with the other room’s guests) should you want to make a snack or a drink - very thoughtful.||||Breakfast was most pleasant and taken in the conservatory. We had an audience too - the owner has some friendly Labrador dogs who gazed at us enviously through the windows!

I had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights and what a delightful little place it is. Sarah goes out if her way to make you feel welcome and, as she is an interior designer, the guest room (s) are beautiful.||||My E suite room was a twin bedded ground floor room with a small seating area, a fridge, TV and tea making facilities. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had very good sleep whilst there. There is another bedroom upstairs and both share a small kitchen and a lovely conservatory which opens on to the garden.||||Breakfast is served in the conservatory and is of excellent quality.||||In the area are restaurants, a pub and excellent walks. I have stayed at Curtain Cottage twice now and I would like to keep it a secret! Sarah welcomes you with a lovely smile and lets you into a perfect little cottage with a self contained kitchen. We had the double room upstairs which is cosy and comfortable. The bathroom is lovely and large with 'White company' towels and L'Occitane toiletries. Breakfast is cooked and brought over from main house and served with fresh coffee and fresh fruit ... Eggs straight from Sarah's hens...delightful.

We booked this as our son is at Welbeck and we were going to Remembrance Sunday parade.||||There are two rooms, the upstairs one is smaller with a lovely big bathroom and the downstairs one is bigger with a smaller bathroom. You share a small kitchen so you can always have tea and coffee and drinks.||||The furnishings are lovely (Sarah runs an interiors business), and the bed upstairs was very comfortable. There were l'Occitane toiletries in the big shower. Lovely big grey towels, and a full length mirror. No reading lamp on one side of the bed though. Small flat screen TV.||||Breakfast was very good, fruit to start, bacon, sausage, egg etc, and toast. with lots of tea and coffee and juice. ||||Not cheap but I would rather pay more and think 'what a great place' than doss down for the night and be eager to leave in the morning.||||Sarah and her partner are very welcoming and accommodating.||||We have booked this for numerous Welbeck occasions in the next 18 months!

Wow! We came across this cottage on the internet, what a find it was! We had family over from Australia and wanted to stay with them and our family wanted something quaint and English! We certainly got it at curtain cottage. Sarah was a fab host, nothing was too much trouble and she made sure our stay was fantastic. The bed linen was sooo luxurious, we didn't want to get out of the beds!!! Poor Sarah had to bring our breakfast over in the rain, but what a good job She did. The breakfast was lovely. Having the eggs from her chickens. Would definitely stay here again. Beautiful cottage.

I stayed here for two nights in the double room TV and Free Wi-Fi in room) which was cosy and most comfortable with a lovely spacious and modern en-suite and use of a conservatory and small kitchen with the other guest in the other room. Sarah was a delightful and attentive host and nothing was too much trouble for her in making my stay carefree from start to finish. I was on a wildlife photography trip This will be my first choice of accommodation if I visit this area again. It is real value for money. The village is picturesque and has a couple of good pubs serving great food and an Italian restaurant with a fine menu. I ate in the latter on the first evening and in the The Old Boar Inn on the second: both meals were delicious. By my own choice, I did not avail myself of the inclusive fully cooked breakfast at Curtain Cottage as I was on a very early morning start to catch the early light for photography on both days (0500!) and so Sarah left me cereals and bread for toast.

Curtain Cottage has the most beautiful soft furnishings - curtains, blinds, upholstery, cushions and bed heads. Absolutely delightful. Everything is impeccably clean and comfortable. Someone from the visitors' book thought it was Britain's best B and B and they could be right. We found it convenient for breaking a long journey, being close to the M1. I wish we could have stayed longer to explore the local area.
