A lovely peaceful location, the stunning views makes up for the even road leading up to the cottages. Had a great stay at Danby Cottage, home from home and everything we needed for a short break. Plenty of attractions, we particularly enjoyed a tranquil day out in Dalby Forest as well as an extremely busy day in Whitby.

Great row of holiday cottages in a superb location with views of Whitby Abbey and the surrounding countryside. Danby cottage had everything you could need and was gorgeous, spacious and warm. However it was completely let down by awful mattresses which ruined our sleep. Both double beds left us in pain and my daughter even had to sleep downstairs on the sofa a couple of nights! Why not just buy quality memory foam mattresses and your guests will want to come back again and again.

Bit of a false one this as we were in the cottage next door. Loved the place and location. The owners were really helpful.
My only reservation was the size of the rooms.. i had problems getting my lardy rump between the end of the bed and the outer wall making it a bit of a pig to get to the far side of the bed.
Clean, all the latest mod cons..
A hot tub would be the cream on the cake!
