Me and my partner recently stayed the night at Danesfield Hotel and I can hands down say it was one of the best hotels we have visited. Our room was absolutely stunning and had a bed of dreams! George on reception made us feel instantly very welcome when showing us to our room and reassured us he was happy to help or answer any questions at any time. We spent most our night in the beautiful cocktail bar where we were served gorgeous cocktails made by Cameron and Willow. They were so efficient behind the bar and me and my partner actually ended up speaking to them for a lot of the evening whilst they were working. They truly made our evening and we haven’t stopped speaking about how good a night we had and how fantastic they were at what they do. Shoutout to the banana rum cocktail that Cameron recommended us! It is a must try. Another very special mention to Franklyn in reception who made such an effort with us everytime we saw him. He made the whole experience so special by always going the extra mile and checking in with us several times to ensure we were being taken care of. He is a brilliant asset to the hotel and shows great customer service. Overall we could not fault our stay and will definitely be booking to stay here again! The rooms, the food, the spa, the service was all excellent. I highly recommend staying here!

Danesfield is absolutely beautiful and one of our first choices if we are looking for something special in Buckinghamshire. A special thank you to Ellis for accommodating our requirements for this stay which was for my birthday. It really made it for us and I would highly recommend opting straight for a suite if you can. The spa is also superb and one of the best improvements was the completely a la carte breakfast for both continental and cooked. This really lifted the experience and we were lucky enough to be seated in the beautiful Oak Room on the morning of my birthday. It made it so special! I am not sure if Ellis had something to do with that but if so, thank you. The waiting staff at breakfast were really lovely but there has to be a mention for the happiest most genuinely enthusiastic waiter we have ever come across! We watched the other tables and every single table smiled when he appeared delivering various breakfast items and a friendly greeting. Well done Danesfield... you are back as one of the best!

From walking in, to an exquisite dinner, to breakfast in bed, to wandering the grounds, everything has been delightful. ||But some highlights we must share:||1. Ellis, who was on reception, greeted us with a great smile and attitude, found us a great room, took our bags, and was a lovely first impression||2. Cameron, in the cocktail bar, was wonderfully accommodating, food was great and service unquestionably good||3. Matt (exec chef), Lisa (waitress), and David (sous chef) - dinner was exceptional. We chose to have the new 7 course tasting menu, with matching wines, in the Oak Room. It was a very clever match of foods, with great attention to everything - highly recommend the experience. And thanks to Lisa for looking after us||4. Sorry, don’t know your name, but also thanks to the really happy waiter that we came across in the cocktail bar and who bought our breakfast tray - you are a delight||5. And our room (Walker), with a lovely balcony and view of the Thames, was just what we need. Watched the stag in the garden, and red kites soaring above - idyllic ||So, yes, not a bad stay . Will be back ?.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! friendly staff, amazing quality breakfast, the fine dining food was excellent. Comfortable rooms, good showers. It's worth the money. We stayed for 2 days but could have done longer as it was so relaxing. Thanks for a great stay and making us feel so welcome

A very comfortable stay in a delightful room. A good ambiance in hotel. Excellently trained staff. G and most helpful. Efficient and professional but very approachable. Good dining experiences and enjoyable time spent on the terrace. Efficient service. All together very caring staff. We have now had 3 stays at Danesfield and hope to go again inthe future.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch in the oak dinning room to celebrate my wife's birthday, all the staff are welcoming polite and professional. The food was excellent, and my wife loved the chocolate happy birthday on the plate of delicious chocolates courtesy of the hotel. With coffee in the great hall finishing off a great afternoon.|Looking forward to another return visit soon.

Beautiful hotel and grounds, lovely food in the evening restaurant. I would recommend the restaurant for dinner.

For a hotel stay and spa visit, absolutely not. Staff are rude to customers and to one another, seems to be tension between the teams, we raised some issues but management doesn't want to take any responsibility. He even ran away from our conversation and did not come back as he seemed scared to speak to us and deal with it. Very strange atmosphere which ruins and otherwise beautiful place.

Young girl on the spa reception doesn't seem to know what she is doing. Cancelled our couples massage (that was booked 2 months ago) proceeded to charge us anyway, then blamed us for not showing up on time and refused to refund us.

It's all very strange. Feels like visiting Faulty Towers...
Update:
In addition to your response George, we have tried to resolve this in person twice and on email twice to Alex who I am told is your general manager. No one has resolved this or bothered to respond hence I am writing our experience here. Which seems to get a response, albeit with false information.

Amazing setting and some really lovely areas to enjoy a cocktail.

Room was great. We had a skylight and a window so wasn’t too warm on a hot summer evening. The bathroom & cupboard are looking very tired though.

Dinner and the restaurant staff were mostly excellent but on our last day breakfast took nearly an hour to arrive. We didn’t complain but were *told* in quite an abrupt way ‘you don’t want them to rush’. It was a really weird way to speak to customers who deserved an update not condescending. We didn’t get offered more drinks but asked for them once the food arrived. It was very tasty.
