Had a tasty lunch with friends. Lots of starters which we shared plus mains which I changed part of my order to add extras (Stilton and mushroom) to my omelette. Landlady was very accommodating. Service and food were excellent. We will return .

Stayed on Friday 12 July 2024, arrived about 18:00 on my motorcycle (safe parking) was shown to my room and left to settle in, no rush no fuss, lovely. Changed and headed downstairs to order my meal and settle the bill in advance as I was heading out early. Very friendly staff and owners, rooms clean, kettle with tea and coffee, tv, good shower hot and powerful. Food (fish and chips) was 1st class and the local beer was very good too, if I'm in that area again I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

This is the second time of eating here in the past month. Two weekends ago we had Sunday lunch which was everything it should be. Yesterday we stopped for a lunch. Lovely food again. Landlady is lovely and very friendly. Really nice atmosphere and nothing too much trouble.

Lovely, Friendly Village Pub. Great selection of Ales. We were staying at a local hotel but got the bar was shut, so drove to the nearest village. First pub was already closed (just after 10PM). Darnley Arms had a big car park & friendly helpful bar maid.

Lovely Sunday dinner. A shame it took a while for the food to come out.

Stayed at this hotel for a night while attending a family event nearby. The price was very good and the room was comfortable and clean. ||Also, had a meal in the evening and food was lovely and good value for money.||Found every one at the hotel/pub very helpful and friendly and also provided us with a phone number and telephone to book a taxi (phone signal and Wi-Fi a bit spotty in this area)||If I was back down in this area again I would definitely stay here again
