Very comfortable bed, clean room and a great view of lake from partially openable window (make sure you get a lakeside room - it’s also further from the M6). ~ £130 felt a lot for a twin room but it was a Saturday night in June. Shower pressure poor - not a trickle but weak. I arrived after a long drive so rather than driving to Kendal went with the only dining option: McDonalds (Costa had shut at 7pm I think) with a beer from the WH Smith - TG they’re still going! £10 vouchers on offer for £7.50 from reception which can only be used at McDonalds or Costa so I advise a visit to both in advance to plan your dinner and breakfast (the next morning I went with a sausage & egg McMuffin out of my own cash and used the voucher on a Costa coffee + sandwich for later). It is what it is but the view certainly made up for a lot and the grassy terrace behind the main services building was a nice place to eat…whatever that was.

The location of the hotel is excellent just off the M6, so nice for a stop over. The scenery around is so beautiful.I phoned the hotel a day before and asked about Toiletries, Towels and Air Conditioning. I was told Toiletries are included and Air Conditioning is available but Towels not provided. When we arrived, we found Towels were there but no Air Conditioning in rooms. The hand wash and shower gel bottles were there but empty. Luckily fan was provided in the room. The carpet and furniture is a bit run down.If you get a deal for £40-50 for the night it might be ok for a night stopover but £135 was overly charged unfortunately because a last minute booking but it is not justified.

Although the hotel it's self is a little tired, the team looking after it and the guests are brilliant. We were made feel very welcome and nothing was a hassle.
Location is perfect as a base for adventures around the Lakes.
I'd thank the staff for making us so welcome, and I hope Days Inn recognise what a great property they have here and develop it further.
A highly recommended base camp for your Lakes adventures.

Despite all of the negative comments on here about this accommodation my daughter and I had a great stay. Yes, granted this is no luxury establishment with high end furnishing or facilities but it’s clean and functional. The reception staff were really helpful, polite and welcoming and the quiet lakeside location is beautiful and great value for money. I had no complaints and would not hesitate to stay again.

I had a great stay at Days Inn by Wyndham Kendal Killington Lake! The location is fantastic—right by the lake, offering beautiful, peaceful views, especially at sunrise and sunset. It’s a perfect stopover for travelers heading to or from the Lake District, with easy access from the M6.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with essentials like tea/coffee facilities and a decent-sized TV. Despite being near the motorway, it's surprisingly quiet, making for a restful night. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience.

While there’s no on-site restaurant, there’s a service station nearby with food options. If you're looking for a convenient, budget-friendly stay with a scenic touch, this is a great choice!

Let's start with the begining on the room 36, once you step inside the room everything you smell is bad odour stinking like someone passed away few hours ago inside, there is no hygiene nothing clean, the bed it had spots and it wasn't clean from a very long time, once you try and sleep you can hear all kind of noises from other rooms in that hotel, on the corridor you can smell the smoke of the weed, first night i went to speak at the reception about the noise, they said, they will try to sort it out but we couldn't sleep all night because of the noise, i paid for two nights £204 but i left in the evening at the second night! I would not recommend to anyone to stay in here!

The place was a savior after breaking down on the M6. The RAC took 12 hours to say our car would not be drivable and they had to arrange a hire car. ||I walked into reception and asked is there room at the inn 😂. We had a husky with us and thought we'd be refused. No, Diane was so lovely and helpful.
