Stayed at the hotel last night. The first problem I encountered after arriving late evening, was a lack of signage from the parking area at the back of the hotel. There is no indication which way to go to find the front door. I opted to walk to the right, and it ended up being the long way round, with no path just a muddy cut along the grass from many others who'd obviously done the same. The receptionist was very pleasant and friendly and check in was quick. Be wary if you book via a broker they charge you £5 to park, but if you book direct its free to park! |After this it all went downhill. The room was really dirty, and this was not just a bad clean, it was accumulated dirt over time. Furniture and fittings were thick with dust and grime. The carpet was not well hoovered, and the teaspoon had food residue stuck to it. |Bathroom surfaces and tiles were also not particularly clean, or polished, and every mirror in the room had marks on it.|I don't think I've ever stayed somewhere so dirty.|I did consider going to request a room change, however it was already late, and I also decided that accumulated dirt is probably a hotel wide housekeeping issue, and not an isolated poor room clean.|In future I'll happily pay more, to stay in a clean room somewhere else.|It did say on google to email direct or leave a review here. I couldn't find the email address....
